Holiday rentals in Jasper County

We had a wonderful experience during our stay. Host is on top of everything from communication to an adorable Airbnb that is welcoming and peaceful. As a Airbnb owner myself, I greatly appreciate her quick communication, flexibility, and all of the little touches in her Airbnb that made you feel at home. On top of all that everything was extremely clean and well kept. The sunsets are amazing. We ventured into a couple of the little surrounding towns which were charming and held things to do and places to eat. We also travel to the local reserve to see the Buffalo in elk roaming, which was amazing. We highly recommend this property and thank Joyce for allowing us to experience a peaceful weekend. We hope to someday return.

I stayed at Ernie and Mindy's cabin for a couple days of peaceful solitude. It was exactly what I needed. Best of all, it was close to home but felt like I was in the middle of nowhere. I spent time exploring the property too and saw lots of wildlife. If you plan to do this, bring hiking boots. Ernie and Mindy were very responsive and helpful with the questions I had. I highly recommend their cabin if you're looking for some quiet time or just a getaway from the city.

Vickie's place is super clean, very spacious, with comfortable beds, plenty of towels and stocked with lots of extras like spices, oils, salt & pepper, sugar etc. The kitchen has plenty of baking/cooking pans as well as plastic storage containers, plastic wrap, foil, bags, etc. You are basically moving into a fully stocked family home. Our son is a swimmer at Grinnell College and we needed a place for 3 of us to stay with our small dog where we could cook dinners and Vickie's place was perfect. A straight shot down Hwy 6 from Newton to Grinnell - takes about 20 minutes and avoids the interstate traffic. Vickie provides complimentary snacks (chips, cookies, popcorn and more) something we've never encountered in many years of vacation rentals. There are lots of games and toys at the house for all ages. One thing to note is that the coffee maker is not full size but single serve- pod or reusable filter. Coffee is provided or BYO.

This place was serene, peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what we needed when we wanted to get away. We lived the quiet and the simplicity! We will be back, for sure!

I loved my stay at The Henhouse! The place is simply adorable, and I loved using the hot tub and bath. Kitchen was super cute, and I loved watching the animals on the farm. Jillynn is a wonderful host!

It was conveniently located in a quiet residential neighborhood, was very comfortable, and with what I needed to feel like I was at home.

Daleys place was exactly as listed. Very clean and a quiet surrounding. So quiet we could hear owls hooting. Bed was comfortable. The house was near a great coffee shop and book stores.
