Located directly on the water, this resting point is an experience in the Randstad. The apartment is sustainably heated with heat from a heat pump. Very rural location but close to everything, as good as In de Kagerplassen.
“The accommodation was very clean and was perfect to relax for a few days. The location of the accommodation is very suitable to reach both the tulip fields and the coast in less than 20 minutes. The kitchen was fully equipped so that a longer stay is possible. Thank you very much for your hospitality and I am looking forward to book the accommodation in the summertime again. Best Patrick”
We offer a sunny and spacious bedroom with the luxury of an adjunct bathroom in our family home. Within just 15 minutes walking through the picturesque Dutch landscape along the river, you can reach a green island with a beach perfect for swimming. Many bike and walking routes start here. We are also close to public transport if you want to explore Leiden or other cities. If you do not want to go far, you are also welcome in our green garden with a cozy hammock and a sandbox for children.
“Best place to stay in Leiden, hands down. Ursula, Martin and their children were one of the kindest people I've met. They waited for us when our travel got delayed, provided us with stories about travel. Not to mention goods for early morning types were provided (coffee!) and other amenities. The place was very organised, clean and comfortable. A private bathroom inside the bedroom! Location-wise it was optimal to travel around the surroundings or to get a train to Amsterdam. It was nice to meet such a travelled and international family (: Thank you from Inês and Ewout.”
The villa is a historic monument with a large garden and terrace. A bus stop is in front of the house and free parking space on the road. The quiet and large guest room has a double bed (2 persons), antique furniture, WIFI, television, comfortable sitting space, and a private south/west balcony. Breakfast can be taken on the terrace, in the dining room or in their private room.
“Comfy bed, cute furnishings, very clean, quiet, warm (I was there in January when it was very cold outside), with a kind host. The only thing I didn't expect was the very steep spiral staircase, but I'm very out of shape and 50+ so if I can do it, probably any able bodied person can do it. The delicious, huge-variety breakfast and the view onto the garden during breakfast were probably the highlights of my stay. The bathroom is shared but Gaby was very accommodating in that regard, so I never felt like I was intruding on her space or she on mine.”
