Beachfront holiday rentals in Kalamaki Beach

Very nice accommodation, very nice view. With 2 large balconies, the beach was within easy walking distance. We wish we could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend.

Niki is a lovely host, happy to help with anything and very friendly. The home is nice, cool during the hot days and in good location near the beach and supermarket. I would stay there again!

We spent two nights at this place, the other was very responsive to our requests! However, if you are three adults, know that the bed, one spot is quite small, it does more for a child. Thanks again. I recommend it.

A very nice place to stay. Especially quiet in the preseason. Large outdoor space for your own use and drinking coffee directly by the sea😊. The interior is spacious, so you can feel comfortable indoors even in cooler temperatures. Communication great, fast and very friendly. Thanks Nikos! Amazing view from the sauna and jacuzzi. Super cozy place and was super clean as well. The host was super helpful and was really flexible when we had to make adjustments to our plans during our stay. Highly recommend staying here!

Holiday home from home. everything good. Vassilis very helpful with lots of good extras in room. Studio clean, bright airy, good WiFi with large kitchen area, Expresso coffee machine. Bathroom a tad small, but works. Sleep quiet with shutters closed, Beach 5 minutes walk. Bus stop to Heraklion and airport 3 minutes. Private parking space. Amazing apartment! Very good location, very well equipped, very clean. Numerous restaurants and shops within walking distance. For the beach, just one road to cross. Parking space, super convenient! Very welcoming host. Toys available, my son was delighted. The view, needless to say... Everything was really perfect, a real favorite, well done!

Our stay at Aleksandros went extremely well. We loved the place and the atmosphere of the place. The fact that the accommodation is in a beach club made it easy for us to enjoy the restaurant. The waiters were lovely! Our 2 year old son had space and could enjoy the pool as much as the beach. Small downside if you plan to stay on site to eat, the amenities of the accommodation remain limited but Aleksandros is available whenever needed. We highly recommend the place!!!

The villa is a most beautiful place for a relaxed family vacation. Quiet, spacious and with all the amenities for a relaxed stay. The next town is nearby, only a few minutes away by car. The local support is excellent, very friendly, very responsive and alert. All in all, a very recommendable place.

Despina was a very helpful and communicative host who responded to all questions very quickly. The apartment is situated in the hills with a view of the sea. Rethymno is an easy 10 minute car journey away. It was very nice to sit outside in the evening, on the patio next to the swimming pool, and watch the sunset and the sea. The private swimming pool is small but fine for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring. The kids liked it. The apartment is a good size and includes all the equipment you would find in your house (washing machine, oven, microwave, clothes iron...). This makes it very practical. Overall it was a comfortable place to stay and a convenient base from which to explore the area around Rethymno.

We had a great stay at the villa for a week during a shoulder period. The proximity of the villa to a fabulous cafe and restaurant was great, with only a short 100m walk to both. The villa is super comfortable and decorated tastefully. Nikos arranged a hire car to be dropped off and picked up from us at the villa which was so convenient. We had a late check in and arranged to find some sandwiches from the cafe in the fridge, a bowl of drukte, bottle of wine and biscuits - a very welcome surprise. This is a great option to come and stay even during the low season.

We had a fantastic stay! The place was clean, well equipped and comfortably furnished, exactly as described. The location was perfectly quiet yet close to all the important places. The host was extremely friendly, quick to respond to messages and gave great local tips. Particularly beautiful was the view, ideal for relaxing in the evening. I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone and would love to come back!

We stayed for a week as a group of three in this charming village, where the welcome was incredibly warm. The accommodation is a lovely house with a stunning view. The small pool was a real treat, especially for cooling off during the hot late afternoons. We felt as comfortable as we would at home. Nearby, you'll find three tavernas with friendly, helpful, and respectful staff. I highly recommend this accommodation, where you will be warmly welcomed and given excellent advice on beautiful places to explore. Stella's Home was the most positive Airbnb experience I've ever had (and I've had some really lovely ones). The place is beautiful and the views are some of the best I've ever seen with the beach being only a 6 minute walk away. Stella was also an exceptional host. She stocked the fridge with some complementary groceries which made for a really positive start to our trip, especially after a day of traveling. It was also one of the most thoughtful things a host has done for one of my stays. Stella was also very communicative, checking in to make sure everything was going well for us and if we needed anything. The hot tub was amazing, the house was spotless and comfortable, the description of the space completely accurate. 5 days was not enough for us here and if I ever make it back to Crete, I will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend!

From day one the communication was excellent. Elizabeth responded to all messages promptly, & politely. The self check-in instructions were clear & easy to follow. The villa was spotless apon arrival, & we had some welcome treats which were very much appreciated. The bed was more comfortable than our one at home! The location, so near to the beach was amazing. The beach is sandy with crystal clear water. We were well informed of when the cleaners were coming in & Frosso (our contact in Crete) was absolutely lovely. We had a fantastic holiday & would highly recommend the villa. Note - the 3 bedrooms are set across 2 separate properties (upstairs & downstairs, with separate entrances). This was not an issue for us at all. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a marvellous 10 night stay and wish we could have stayed longer - would love to visit again and stay in Maria’s Villa. It was an ideal setting and perfect location- very comfortable and had everything we needed.

We had the most relaxing time here! We love remote locations away from the masses of tourists. A truly raw and beautiful spot that is a gem on Crete! The house had everything we needed and was absolutely spotless.

What a great spacious apartment and even better location,.. and with a panoramic sea view from the spacious balcony/terrace. What more do you need? And chose Kalamaki over Matala (just visit) if you want to relax.

We spent very nice four days here. The view is really beautiful and in 10 minutes you can walk to a supermarket. In front of the house you could park well.

Can't say enough good things about Yvonna and her home! I've never stayed so beachfront where the water was just a step away. It's super spacious, spotless and you feel right at home with all the generous amenities and supplies. Truly a hidden gem that anyone would be extremely lucky to stay at. Hope to come again with more loved ones to share this incredible experience with them!

This place is perfectly placed to go to all the points of interest in the Rethymnon area. The proximity to the road is not an inconvenience because it is extremely well soundproofed and the rooms overlook a very beautiful garden (with children's games) and the sea. Note that at the end of October the area is more than quiet so we have the restaurant and the beach to ourselves. Parking down the apartment. I recommend it!

We were totally delighted with the place and its amenities. Something I hadn't realized and which is a disturbing hair are the parties at the pool next door twice a week. Apart from that, everything is perfect. The hosts are charming and the two owners are very attentive. We will come back without hesitation.

Dear Nikolaos, We spent an amazing time in your beautiful beach apartment. Everything was great, the location just few step directly to the Cristal water of the beach. The communication with Nikolaos was perfect, always answered quickly to every question. Great places to eat nearby and a small grocery store also nearby so you can just stay in the area for days without going anywhere. There is right before the apartment a place where you can rent a kayak, scuba dive or book a boat trip, we booked one and went to a half day trip on a nice yacht to Dia island with a nice dinner wich was perfect. I definitely recommend NIkolaos place if you want great holidays in a gorgeous apartment with beautiful view of the beach all day long.The balcony was also great and we loved to spent time there eating or just relaxing. Thank you Nikolaos for everything and we hope to come back one day🙏
