Also, the alley in front is very quiet, with almost no traffic, so you can spend plenty of time relaxing. Kyoto Seifuan is a 4-minute walk from Higashiyama Station on the Tozai Line, and is convenient for transportation and shopping, and you can also walk to nearby temples, Heian Jingu, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu Temple, and Gion. It is a private space with a whole house rental, but in case of emergency, you can contact the staff 24 hours a day by mobile phone and email, so you can rest assured. We will accommodate your request before your stay, check-in, and luggage storage after check-out as much as possible.

As featured on the NYTimes T list, this property is a "Kyomachiya", a traditional Japanese home over 100 years old. It has been revamped from a "Nishijin-ori" (traditional Japanese textile) factory. It is located in the traditional Kamigyo Ward, minutes walk from the Imperial Palace. We collaborated with award winning architects at Ikken to renovate this space, which now accommodates the comforts of modern life, while retaining many of the original structure and elements from its past.

We offer four bicycles free of charge for you to explore the charming backstreets that buses cannot reach. Additionally, for long stay guests , we provide a complimentary shuttle service to or from Kyoto Station upon request.

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Kumo Machiya Kojinguchi is a Japanese machiya with decades of history and rich Kyoto Japanese style, few minutes walking distance to Kamogawa river or Imperial Palace. The door painting nearby the hallway was copy by a famous Japanese artist named Ito Jakuchu, it means business flourishes and eveything going to be fine.
