“Such a lovely place! I can’t recommend highly enough. Quiet and relaxing. Comfy bed. Super yummy breakfast! Nice little touches. Jill and her husband are lovely and were very welcoming but also totally respected my privacy. The set up at this property means that even though you are at someone’s house, you feel as if you are in your own space. Very well done. I ate dinner at the Red Lion in Bobbington, a short drive away - super service and super food. Great value for money and lovely experience to stay at Jill’s - don’t give it a second thought... book it!”

“We thoroughly recommend staying here. The cottage and garden are lovely. The house was really clean and very well equipped. We found our way round really easily . The garden is beautiful too, with mature plants and trees and a pond! We were there for a wedding so it would have helped to have a full length mirror, otherwise faultless.”
Newly decorated character cottage, brand new furniture and kitchen appliances located on 17 acre Private Estate.
“Home from home! This was our first air b&b as I am OCD clean so always particular about where we stay. Garden cottage exceeded my expectations! It was beautiful, clean and well looked after. I was worried that it might be cold being an old cottage but it wasn’t! Full central heating and a log burner kept us warm and cosy throughout storm Dennis! Having two young children I wondered how much I would need to baby proof. The lounge and kitchen doors both enclose the lounge from the kitchen and stairs. The stairs are steep but have hand rails both sides and my 4 year old had no problem going up and down. There is even a stair gate which we used at the top of the landing to prevent any midnight falls! Plenty of space to set up a travel cot in all the rooms. And we took a travel highchair which fitted perfectly on the wooden chairs. The only thing to be careful of is the lock on the stair door and the hook on the main bedroom as kids can lock you in or out! And the mesh wire on the twin bedroom wardrobe likes little fingers. But plenty of space to relax. It was quite the retreat tucked away in the countryside with beautiful views from every window. The cottage has a lovely shabby chic style and 2 bathrooms one with bath needed for the kids and a newly fitted shower en-suite. Also free WiFi password on the bottom of the router and the TV has all channels including CBeebies! Chris and Gary are the perfect hosts so welcoming and friendly. They even left us bread, milk, butter, tea and coffee. We will undoubtedly be returning for another mini break this year we just loved loved loved it! Thank you garden cottage we miss you already!”
