1 Bedroom Annex Retreat - on a working farm

This one bedroom annex is part of a 200 year old barn conversion. Based in the Nidderdale area of outstanding natural beauty, the accommodation has its own private access and garden with seating area, internally the annex can accommodate 2 people and one friendly dog,unfortunately we can't accept Labradors due to the shedding of there coats, (please ensure you register your dog when booking). The cottage is located in the village of Kirkby Malzeard in the Yorkshire Dales, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are surrounded by open countryside with farms, woodland, streams and moorland on the doorstep. Cowscot Cottage was once the stable of a farm complex, converted in the 1980's and renovated in 2019 to a very high standard.

Chequer Barn Apartment

An oak framed loft apartment is above a large garage which is accessed by stairs with a balcony for tree level seating. The space is not attached to our house and has separate access. The pitched roof gives the apartment a feeling of space and light, with underfloor heating. The outside space is ideal if you want some fresh air. We are in a rural location with no amenities, although the nearest village is only two miles away. We would welcome all visitors, but we don’t accept children.

Barn conversion in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales built circa 1815. A recently renovated, open plan two story conversion with original oak beams and exposed stonework with views right across the moors from every direction. A cosy sitting area with a large wood burner. Two double bedrooms, one with spare single bed and own bathroom. There's a dog wash shower for dogs to use when they come back from your walk around the dales. Perfect for biking and was part of Tour de Yorkshire route.

We have used high quality fittings throughout from Loaf seating, beautiful light fittings, Sophie Conran crockery, SMEG kettle and toaster, as well as featuring art by a local artist David Stead.
