A 115-year-old Kyoto townhouse near Nijo Castle, a historic heritage site representing Kyoto, has been reborn as an accommodation facility with a delicate renovation by an architect. While the exterior retains the atmosphere of a historic Kyoto townhouse, the interior is a space that harmonizes Japanese tradition and modernity. When you enter the entrance, you can enjoy the seasonal nature of Kyoto's unique tsubo garden, which is like a cut-out of the scenery in the mountains. The facility is a Kyoto townhouse with elegant taste, decorated with paintings by Japanese painters and decorations by craftsmen. It can accommodate up to 9 people in a spacious 100 ㎡ space. It is spacious enough to relax with family or friends, and is the perfect place to "travel like you live in the ancient city of Kyoto". There is also a kids' space for children to enjoy, so families with children can also have a comfortable stay. Nijo Castle is within walking distance, but access to major tourist attractions such as Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Kinkaku-ji Temple, Arashiyama, Gion, and Kyoto Imperial Palace is also good from the bus stop right next to the facility. There are Japanese-style rooms with 8, 6, and 4.5 tatami mats, and a 8 tatami mat cocoon room. There are 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms. Two kitchens with all the cooking utensils for you to enjoy cooking with your family. The Japanese garden is large and has beautiful moss. There is also a shrine to Benzaiten in the garden, which will bless you with financial luck. Kyoto Suiyokawa Minsu is located in one of Kyoto's most traditional and historic districts, Nishi-Yasaka. A traditional Japanese Kyomachi-ya house that is over 100 years old, the garden has maintained its original appearance for over 100 years, and has a shrine and torii gate that are rare in a private garden, dedicated to Benzaiten (God of Wealth). The 250-square-meter exquisite Japanese garden changes with the four seasons of Kyoto's beautiful scenery. There is a kimono workshop in the Suiokawa Minsu with a professional kimono teacher, miya, where you can wear a formal kimono to go out and return it after you come back.

Some of the walls in the house were renovated by us using DIY methods, The interior furnishings and decorations are also carefully selected and arranged by us. Antique stained glass, washi lamps designed by Yusuke Noguchi, a master bedroom with a Simmons mattress and Muji bedding, and a tatami room with bedding inspired by previous guests' feedback, featuring a thicker mattress for a more comfortable rest and a pleasant stay. Every detail is designed to make guests feel the warmth and peace of home, and quietly experience the unique atmosphere of Kyoto.
