Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Kjósarhreppur

Bryndis and her family were wonderful hosts the place was close to some restaurants and the water. It is located in a peaceful section of Reykjavik and a great home base for activities around the capital. It is clean, spacious and the hosts were very responsive.

Tara’s home was a great find. It’s close to the city center (15ish minute drive) in a quiet residential area. Kitchen is fully equipped to cook full meals, grill outside, grocery store 2 minutes away. Book, games and toys for the kids including soccer and basketballs. Everything we could need was available. She was quick to respond to questions and was kind enough to let us check in early after our red eye flight. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay it was nice to not have to pay for parking. Everything was an easy walk to get to.

This place was perfect! 4 adult and 4 kids. It was absolutely beautiful home and the owners were so responsive and helpful. The house is walking distance to food markets and some restaurants and only 20 min drive from downtown Reykjavik. Walking trails all along the area. We could not have picked a better place to stay for our visit to Iceland, highly recommend this place!

Great location that’s outside the hustle of downtown Reykjavik. Sweet neighborhood and extremely well-kept home with beautiful backyard. Highly recommend.

Det var veldig rent og pent når vi kom. Sigurdur var hjelpsom hele veien. Rene senger og rene håndklær ferdige. Man kunne enkelt fylle badestampen og sitte der om kvelden. Vi bodde der en uke med tre barn. Leide bil ved flyplassen. 5 minutt til nærmeste bakeri for å kjøpe ferskt brød til frukost og 8 min til bra matbutikk. 10 min å kjøre til sentrum hvor det var enkelt å parkere. Vi var på utflukt til Golden circle, red på islandshester med Eldhestar, beach ride- fantastisk! Tur med båt og såg på Lundefugler. En kveld på Sky lagoon. Da får man med seg solnedgangen. Kjøkkenet var enkelt å bruke, lagde middag hjemme, enkelt med barna. Vi hadde en veldig fin ferieuke, kan sterkt anbefales!

Great place for a family with small kids. Spacious and in a quiet neighborhood. Kids enjoyed the trampoline and other toys. Host was flexible with check in and efficient/accommodating even though previous guests checked out a bit late.

I recommend Björg's flat in Reykjavik. It has everything you need for cooking; at least three supermarkets are really close by. Everything in Reykjavik is reachable in under an hour by foot. This is a perfect origin for your explorations and also a perfect destination for relaxing after a longer trip. I would definitely choose the accommodation again.

A beautiful apartment that looks just like the photos! Comfy beds, spacious living room, well-stocked and modern kitchen. And super close to the downtown, many parks, and coastline. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Magnús has been a great host, polite, kind and really helpfull. The house is beautiful, full-equiped and nice located (could even see the northern lights here). We had an incident with the jacuzzi and he helped us super fast. Would recommend this acommodation 100%.

I absolutely loved staying at Vignir's. The location was good and quiet. The actual airbnb was so cute and so cozy, I felt right at home. Vignir was responsive and even gave me a heads up when the Northern Lights were out. I would stay here again.

This place was incredible. The host was not only responsive, but they were so kind to even leave us some goodies in the fridge upon arrival. No other Airbnb in Iceland had done this and it was the kindest of gestures. We loved this place the most out of all our stays. Definitely stay here if it’s available. Had everything you need for a great trip.

Asa was a lovely host. She was very quickly responsive every time we messaged. We were able to check in early after our morning flight which was such a wonderful surprise. She reached out to us first thing that morning to ask when we landed and offered for us to come early. We were allowed to park in the garden adjacent to the building which was very convenient. It is dry walkable to attractions, located a few blocks from Rainbow Rd and the Hallgrimskirkja Cathedral. The place itself has everything you need including extra bedding for the couch if needed. Asa made sure we had coffee when we arrived and even left a couple sweet treats and energy drinks in the fridge!

Apartamento muy amplio y cómodo. Baño enorme. Cocina bien y muchos utensilios de cocina. Limpieza regular, necesita algo de limpieza en profundidad.

Elin's apartment is in a great location for public transport routes,shopping centers and lovely walks - located relatively close to the city center so it's easy to get to without having to be stuck in the hustle and bustle of the city. She is a wonderful host and the apartment is a lovely spot to stay in if you're ever in Reykjavik. Will definitely be back

Very attractive and comfortable cabin in a beautiful area which feels entirely private despite being only an hour from Reykjavik. Great base for hiking or sightseeing. We had five days here and felt we only scratched the surface of what the area has to offer. Cabin is very well and thoughtfully equipped. Matthias was a great host and offered fantastic recommendations of things to do and see. No hesitation at all in recommending.

We had a fantastic stay here! The views from the apartment were so wonderful to wake up to everyday. The place was always warm and cosy which was nice to come into from the cold. Great kitchen set up with everything you need to make meals. We loved using the fire stove for making tea in the evening and toasting marshmallows! Daði was a lovely host, very responsive and gave great recommendations. He was very relaxed and just wanted to make everything easy for us which was very much appreciated and made our time in Iceland all the better! Thank you!

Wir hatten eine so schöne Zeit in Haukurs Unterkunft. Die Hütte ist mit allem ausgestattet was man so braucht, sehr gemütlich und traumhaft ruhig gelegen mitten in der Natur. Der Blick auf den See, der Kamin und der Hot Tub waren unser Highlight. Perfekt um so richtig zu entspannen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

We had such a great time, the cabin exceeded expectations in every way! Lilja was very responsive and helpful for any questions we had. The most beautiful surroundings and so peaceful! We enjoyed the hot tub, dart board and pool table. We even got to see the auroras on 2 separate nights which was a real highlight! The kitchen is small with a small over, this didn’t matter for us but could be useful to know if you were not planning to go out much. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend this cabin!!

Very very nice place. 30 minutes from Borganes, Arkanes and Hammsvik hot springs. It was amazing to watch aurora and clear sky from the jacuzzi and then warm up at the fire place inside. Thor responded quickly to any question and everything went smooth. Highly recommended and will definitely return back.

What a beautiful cabin! Spacious and well appointed in a gorgeous woodland setting. Jón was always responsive and even arranged help for us when we got stuck - our fault, the driveway is on a slope and a 2wd car cannot cope when it’s snowy and icy. We found out the hard way and got stuck! Jón was so helpful though and despite our somewhat adventurous arrival we had a wonderful stay. Glorious auroras viewed from the fabulous hot tub were the icing on the cake! Highly recommended.

Kristin‘s place is one of my favorite stays in all of Iceland. This is my third time returning and I know I will continue to come back. The space is very quiet, clean, you have everything you need and extremely comfy . I utilize the space to write, read and make music and it’s really perfect for a couple or solo traveler like myself.
