Banyan Bungalow

Manta Soul was a beautiful place to stay with lots of thoughtful amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and eating breakfast in the garden outside the communal kitchen. The property is very close to lots of beaches and other fun things to do in the South Kona area.

Pele cabin Volcano

JoanneRating, 5 stars24 months ago
Loved the view of the volcano. Actually caught a rainbow in the clouds with the volcano behind. Great stars at night if it’s not cloudy. Make sure to bring warm clothes as the place gets pretty chilly. Space heaters and cozy blankets helped. Definitely use the fireplace to get a nice temperature in the living room.

We loved are stay the location was perfect. Star gazing at night, the fireplace was nice. Fully stock kitchen. A few roaches here at there… lol although it was cold at night and early mornings the house was stocked with extra blankets heaters etc. that was much appreciated. The only down side is only one bathroom. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Seen on HGTV-Aloha Sweet Hale-2024 Year to Explore

NicoleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay here was just what we imagined - quiet, secluded, peaceful and close to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. I was excited to be only 15 minutes away from Kīlauea as it had been erupting regularly before we got there, but unfortunately, it didn’t cooperate with us and only smoked with a red glow… The house had just about everything we needed. The fireplace and space heater was much appreciated during the chilly mornings, but weren’t needed long as the days ended up being gorgeous. A few throw blankets would have been appreciated, but maybe there were some in the closet and I didn’t notice them. There was a couple of small issues with some appliances, but we let her know that it wasn’t a big deal for us. Hopefully she gets them resolved for future renters. The coffee, tea and hot cocoa that were provided were provided was perfect for our mornings. Although the larger grocery stores are about 30-45 minutes away, there was a small convenience store just down the road.

Artsy Cabin with Kitchen, outside Bathtub; Organic

ChristineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This cabin in the south of the Big Island is magic. Peaceful, full of positive energy, and surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect spot to relax and recharge. The cabin is cozy and welcoming, super clean and with the most amazing outdoor shower that lets you connect with the island in the best way. Each morning starts with a world-class breakfast — fresh, delicious, and made with love. And Carolina is incredible: warm, attentive, and full of excellent local tips that made our stay even better. The location is ideal for exploring Green Sand Beach, Volcanoes National Park, and other hidden gems nearby. Strongly recommend Carolina‘s place.

Hale Palila- A-Frame Cabin & Hot Tub

Hayden & KayoRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The A-frame cabin had everything we need, and felt like a really comfortable space to be in. I would happily return there to stay longer. It fitted a family of four just fine, and felt spacious inside and out. The heated blankets are appreciated on a cool evening. It’s a short drive to Volcanoes National Park, and a perfect base for exploring. Check in and check out felt very relaxed.

Tropical Treehouse with a view

EmilyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our stay was amazing, and Saige was so kind and responsive, she has a wonderful spirit 🙏🏻💙 everything was exactly as we expected, the room was perfect, a wonderful breeze, most windows were screened, and the rain on the roof was divine. The living area/porch was wonderful too, an amazing view and room for 2 to comfortably spend time together. We had friendly (brave) geckos, and the sound of the curtains blowing was calming. The geodesic dome was peaceful, expansive, and simple, room to create an alter, meditate, and spend time laying and enjoying the peace and quiet. Saige created another space under the trees to relax in the coolness of the shade, surrounded by lush vegetation that felt cozy. The bathroom/shower were lovely as well. The neighborhood isn’t walkable (as we expected) and was very private with only a small handful of cars we noticed during our 3-night stay. We had a few hiccups with the power/water pump that Saige promptly troubleshot and was very accommodating. 🌟🌟🌟

Honomalino Retreat.

DylanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Very nice place. Perfectly clean and very quiet at night. She was helpful with anything we needed. Lots of children in the neighboring house and they were very nice but there may be some curious stares and loud noises at times when they're playing! Again, at night it was perfectly quiet and we were never kept up or unable to sleep. Just thought I'd mention because it was a surprise for us! Would definitely book again.

crater rim cabin garden view

NateRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The Crater Rim Cabin is truly a dream, from the cozy and thoughtful decor to the lush, peaceful gardens, we could not be more pleased with our stay in Volcano. Barry + Jim were the kindest souls and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The well-appointed kitchen allowed us to cook our own version of Thanksgiving dinner while curling up in front of the fire with our books. We can't wait for our next visit to this magical spot! ✨

Peaceful Hawaiian Sunset view House!

TiffanyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We absolutely loved our stay. It was in proximity to everything you want to do but so quiet and peaceful we’ve never seen so many stars twinkling in the sky! We were pleasantly surprised with a flushing toilet, and the outdoor shower was our favorite! We are glampers and this is glamping to the next level at its finest! everything you need though you’re still outside Love the geckos and the crazy little kitty cat too❤️ we would definitely recommend and will definitely be back! Love the sweet touch of coming back to our cabin, and there was fresh picked papaya from the tree right off of the deck🤙🏼

Belinda was a fantastic host- providing us with great information about the place and surrounding areas of interest. She gave detailed instructions on how to find the cottage - we had no issues. The cottage was so nice and private and in such an idyllic location. Beautiful views left us feeling so peaceful and tranquil- we didn’t want to leave! I loved the access to the outdoors- the sweet geckos and lovely bird song each am to wake up to. If you want true Hawaiian feel, this is the place to stay!

Log Cabin (2/2) near Waipio Valley

Celeste & TaylorRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Spooky - in all the right ways! We rented this cabin as a quiet place to enjoy our 15th wedding anniversary. It was exactly what we wanted: quiet, private, lovely and relaxing. And because we are both into the mystical, the paranormal, and the spiritual - we were also very intrigued by the inherent spookiness of the place! The cabin is big and dark and because we arrived close to dark, it was very reminiscent of The Shining. lol! We were grateful for the caretaker Doug’s presence that night! He was very friendly and helpful in assuaging all our ghost-filled thoughts. Ha! Of course, the following day when the beautiful sunshine and the steady breeze flowed in the open windows, we saw the place for what it really was: a lovely cabin in the woods. We really enjoyed being able to rent such a big place for just the two of us. The architecture alone is worth the stay… so much to look at! We are local so we weren’t there to go to beaches and see waterfalls. We got exactly what we wanted!

Budget Friendly Studio

JimRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The property is interesting and well described- simple and rustic. It's within a gated community next to the owner's house. You have two small buildings: The bedroom is an enclosed polygonal room with lava rock lower walls and wood above. It's rustic with a few gaps between the rock and wood walls. Bed was comfortable for 9 nights- the elevation makes it cool off to the 60's at night. The kitchen and bathroom appears to have been very recently finished. Shower stall is new, roomy, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. There isn't a door between the bathroom and kitchen portion, but since this is set up for a single person it isn't a problem. Kitchen amenities and cabinets seem brand new. Fridge has a good sized freezer. Cooking appliances consist of a small drip coffee maker, single induction burner, and a small toaster oven. Between the two buildings is a wooden deck with a small metal table with two matching chairs and a pair of patio chairs with cushions.

We booked the entire property for our group and we had an amazing time! It was great to wake up to the chickens, cows and birds singing. Silvia and Olivia were fantastic with whatever we needed- which wasn’t much. Would stay here again for the same discounted rate.
