This spacious, free-standing cottage in TWEE RIVIERE village, enjoys a restful, scenic position on the tree-rich campus grounds of The South African Institute for Heritage Science - home of the popular Belfry Kitchen restaurant!
“What a wonderful time we have had in the Orchard View Cottage. If we would get the chance to do it all over, we will definitely book more than just 1 night. We got the best and very warm welcome at arrival and also during the rest of our stay we were honored to receive this high level of service, hospitality and friendliness. Thank you Reuben for making our stay an amazing one and a super tasty one as well! We will not forget this peaceful place and we can highly recommend a booking at the Orchard View Cottage. And the Belfry Kitchen campus cafeteria is definitely a place to remember and recommend as well!”
The cottage is situated on a smallholding in the historical village of Twee Rivieren, nestled in a little glen surrounded by mountains, water furrows, and many dams. We are PET-FRIENDLY, and the cottage garden is fenced. The place is perfect for both holidaymakers and business travelers alike, seeing as it is very close to all amenities with the added bonus of countryside views and privacy. NO LOADSHEDDING, thanks to Solar electricity! I live on the property and I'm always available.
“Jacques' place is a lovely rustic hideaway cottage in a rural setting on the lovely R62. Comfortable secure and clean with a nice garden, table n chairs, complete with "roses 'round the door" . My wife and I had a great time with Jacques and with his advice we had pleasant walks through the vast orchard farms near the cottage. However the USP (unique selling point) of this attractive accommodation is Jacques himself and Rupert his intuitive dog whose house is a stone's throw from the cottage. Invite Jacques for a glass of wine and he will engage with warmth n intelligent discussion on your terms. He's a gentleman.”
Storms River Village, situated only 11km from the Tsitsikamma National Park, is the adventure capital of Tsitsikamma and forms part of SA’s famous Garden Route. The unique, self-catering Tin House is situated in the garden of a private residence with remote control gate access. A stay of at least two nights is recommended, as there is so much to see and do in the area. Perfect for a couple, a small family, or a group of friends. Free WiFi. For more information, see the captions to the photos.
“The tin house is build by Watty, one of the kindest hosts we've ever had. It's a beautiful cosy living room where there is a small fireplace to lit up when it gets cold and a very big bathroom. The bedroom is isolated and we slept pretty well in the comfortable bed. There's a beautiful garden and we enjoyed the homegrown passiefruit and plums:) The tin house is one of the most authentic places we've ever been. We absolutely had the best experience unless it was raining during our whole stay.”
