My inn is a building that was originally the home of Kuzo Takasato, the first mayor of Kumejima. That's why it's well built and very well maintained. The building is old, but it has a taste that makes you feel the history of the island. The area is on the east side of the island, 5 minutes by car and 15 minutes by bicycle from Ojima, where there is a fishing port, Tatamiishi, a campground, and Badehaus (now closed). I live in a 2-story house that I am repairing and renovating. The 2nd and 3rd floors (rooftop) are not available, and only the 1st floor is available for rent. Please relax and stay as if you were at home. It's an old house, but it feels like your grandparents' house. The first floor has two partitions, a living room and a Japanese-style room, so you can use it as one floor. The Western-style toilet (with a washlet that does not require electricity) and the bath are separate, and there is only a shower, no bathtub. Feel free to use the dishes in the cupboard. We have 1 single bed and 4 futons. It is a very quiet environment, and the soft light through the shoji screens is calming.
