“Elizabeths place is amazing. Its a rural setting with the designs of being a working farm. The wallaby grazing the yard in the morning was delightful as well as sleeping with the sounds of the jungle reverberating! This is NOT a place for everyone. If you are looking for that 5 star luxury resort atmosphere, go somewhere else. If you are looking to support local people in their real life, then look no further. The room that she has set aside for guests is safe, private and exceptionally clean. I found, though, i enjoyed the veranda out from the kitchen most, as well as Elizabeth's company. What a amazing woman she is! The bathroom is still being finished but is very serviceable and private. I loved the design she is working on. Again, this is not for those that want a pristine, postcard experience, but for those of us who love to experience the life of those that live there...day to day! THANK YOU Elizabeth for an exceptional experience!”
Gorgeous treehouse nestled in the thick of the rainforest, right next to the waterfall! There is no other house in Cairns this close to a waterfall so this is truly a nature lovers dream. Boasting 3 balconies including one off your room and cathederal floor to ceiling windows in the dining and loungeroom, making you feel as though you are living amongst the treetops. It is important you understand this is a nature come in the national park. Along with that comes insects and wildlife.
“I stayed here with my girlfriend and we originally booked for two nights. But after one day we decided to stay for three more days because we really liked it. The place is very nice and has a good vibe to it. It’s just a little walk away from several nice swimming spots. It’s quite a walk to get to the city centre of Cairns, but don’t even bother...just stay here and relax!”

The beautiful Jum Rum Creek Walking Track is close by which takes you into the Kuranda Village, only a 15 minute walk.
“What an amazing place to stay during our short vacation. You've got the rainforest as your yard, making for an amazingly relaxing and tranquil stay. Julie was a great host with great communication, and because she lives on the property is always around if you need anything. Only thing I would recommend is to check-in during daylight because my family and I got there after sunset. If Julie hadn't somehow found us driving around in the dark I don't think we would have found the place :)...and of course the 3 chickens they've got roaming the property! So cute and friendly, always coming to say hi”
