MacLeod House Guest Cottage-Nature lovers' getaway

MacLeod House Guest Cottage is a self-contained stone cottage nestled on the edge of the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve. The open plan accommodation is decorated in an Edwardian style but with all the modern conveniences you might require. The cottage overlooks the magnificent Krantzkloof gorge. There is an abundance of bird life for birding enthusiasts and a tranquil setting in which to relax whilst enjoying the sound of the Nkonka Falls directly below the property. A 'must see' for nature lovers.

Upstairs on Impangele

Next to Makaranga (currently closed), the unit has 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The kitchen area has a table & chairs, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, induction cooker, air fryer & microwave. Stocked with tea, coffee & sugar. Each of the rooms have a king size bed which can be split into 2 singles, so can sleep 4 people. One of the bedrooms has an aircon & the other a fan and heater. Deck has a bistro table & chairs as well as a daybed for relaxing. Off street parking for 1 car.

Container Cottage

Come and experience the cute little 20ft shipping container that has been turned into a cozy stay for a single or couples. The functional kitchen with all the basic necessities will be all you need to create a romantic dinner, or even just a coffee for yourself - both of which can be enjoyed with a tree-top view from the deck. The shower is surprisingly spacious and the gas geyser ensures hot water always. This space aims to delight and invoke a sense of serenity as you focus on the basics.

Beacon Hill Barn is a 36 acre farm with horses and cattle. It is perched on the very top of the Alverstone hill. Panoramic views extend to the sea with a big open sky above you. Guests are welcome to range the farm. The location is such that you can enjoy a tranquil get away yet also have access (7 mins ) to Hillcrest restaurants and the festive shongweni farmers market on a Saturday morning. The suite is well appointed with a fire place for winter and aircon for hot summer nights

Jungle Oasis

Located in a quiet, access controlled cul de sac this upstairs maisonette has spectacular views from the outside deck. This is an upstairs unit above the main house, with 13 steps walk up access. The private entrance with allocated parking, gives you privacy and peace of mind. The ensuite bathroom has access to a very spacious and comfortable bedroom with a queen sized bed. There is a separate open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area. The lounge has a sleeper couch for the kids.

Studio Polo Pony

This beautifully appointed luxury apartment is nestled in the complex Aintree Lane alongside the Polo Pony Service station and opposite The Shongweni Polo Club. There is a basic daily service, excluding dishes, but a dishwasher is provided. It has an open plan kitchen / TV room with flatscreen TV, Netflix, Nespresso coffee machine, WIFI and Aircon in the main bedroom. The apartment is managed by the Polo Pony Engen, so you can order from Woolworths, the Quickshop or Steers.

Self check in and out is quick and easy via a keypad at the main gate, a key box is located at the entrance to the unit. Due to its size the unit is ideally suited for short term stays.

If you are coming for business we have fast and dependable WiFi. We also have a GENERATOR for load shedding if necessary.

Seaside Heaven offers a modern well equipped kitchen, 1 x sea facing king bed, outdoor braai area and is a short walk to the heart of Umdloti ! The Cabin can only be accessed via walking stairs (100 to be exact).
