Ideally located for gentle strolls from the house to the local beach and to explore this Scottish Site of Scientific Interest. Perfect for twitcher and wildlife enthusiasts, you may even catch a glimpse of an otter and seals! This is also an ideal launch site for your own kayak/canoe/SUP to just paddle around. From here you can also explore the rest of the island and mainland at your leisure.

Ideally situated for exploring the hills and mountains round about. The bridge to the Isle of Skye is only 1 mile away and the hills of Kintail are within easy reach at about 15 miles. The quaint, picturesque village of Plockton is close by and the historic Eilean Donan Castle 8 miles away.

Bothan dubh (Black Bothy) We are situated in Badicaul which is a 5 minute drive from the Skye bridge and a 10 minute drive in the other direction to the beautiful village of Plockton. Gael is a modern cabin on a working croft, which captures uninterrupted views over Portree bay, Ben Tianavaig and the Cuillin hills in the far distance. The cabin itself has a full height atrium which includes a functional kitchenette, seating area, log-burner and a three-piece bathroom suite. The mezzanine level is accessed by a wooden staircase featuring a comfortable double bed. Situated just off the Scorrybreach trail this is the perfect launchpad for your Skye adventure.

Over the road from the beautiful strait of Kyle Akin, you have the iconic Skye Bridge (and magnificent sunsets) to your left, and to your right, views past Castle Moil, down Loch Alsh (with beautiful sunrises!) We have a lovely garden surrounding the property.
