From the Japanese-style room on the first floor, you can see the tsubo garden with the imagery of the "open space" (* garden leading to the tea room). This is a renovated Kyomachi house near Gojo-zaka. A 100-year-old Kyomachi house has been transformed into a guest house where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the good old days. It is a luxurious natural material renovation that uses diatomaceous earth with deodorizing and humidity regulating effects, and unpolluted materials such as hinoki cypress and cedar, with attention to detail in the finish. Our house Unoan is a 100-year old machiya that has been beautifully renovated into a luxurious accommodation for short stays. You can rent the whole house. The house is in an excellent location with easy access to popular sightseeing spots such as historical Gion area, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizudera Temple, Sanjusangendo Temple, and Fushimi Inari Shrine. The main shopping areas, department stores and the Pontocho dining and entertainment district are all within easy walking distance.
