How’s the serenity? Says it all. Not only an Aussie icon movie, the house lives up to it. The Doon has been a favourite destination for decades and the Castle has been a part of it. The lake is always spectacular whether it be sunrise or sunset, on a wooden deck, with a beer, some music. Absolute perfection !! The Doon Hotel will always be a favourite!! Thank you. Suffer in your jocks! We’ll be back!!

Proactive and helpful hosts. Great surroundings, easy walk to the bakery and the local pub, the Healesville Hotel. Highly recommended.

My friends and I had a great stay at Sarah’s place. The house is massive and comfortably fits a large group. The views were lovely and Sarah was great to communicate with.

Lizzie’s place was amazing! A true home away from home! Lizzie was very friendly, she also extended our checkout time even without asking ! The house is neat, clean, is full of positive vibes! Feeding the birds on the porch was the highlight of the stay ! Will definitely recommend to others !

Fabulous place to get away and unwind. Very private. Everything as described by previous reviews was very accurate and the response from the hosts Jamie and Christine was superb. Always prompt, friendly and clear. Easy to find. Highly recommended on all fronts. Definitely worth going to. Secluded, lots of wild life and very comfortable.

We had an amazing time at Mitch's beautiful property, the house is spacious, clean and quiet at night, beds are so comfy and everything is clean and spotless, Mitch is very friendly and very prompt at responding requests. We enjoy the space so much we highly recommend to everyone ;) Thank you for having us!

We had a wonderful time at this air b n b! The perfect place for our group of 10 to stay for a wedding. The view is spectacular, we were very sad to leave.

Pops place was lovely for a family getaway. With a wonderful decking and massive backyard there was plenty of room for everyone. The home itself had such a nice homey feel and was decorated so well, with so many different places to rest & relax.

Probably one of the best air bnb’s I have stayed in. The house is fantastic with great appliances, TV’s, showers etc and lovely bedrooms. Only complain is the master bed is a touch soft for my liking! The outside area is perfect and the pool so lovely. I could not fault this place. The pictures do not do it justice!! Thanks for having us, would love to come again.

Chris is an amazing host, very communicative and had setup the house like I was family. The property is amazing and we made full use of the pool and hot tub. The scenery is stunning! The fireplace was exactly what we needed and we didn't want to leave. Will definitely be coming back!

Great stay! This was a beautiful space to get ready before a wedding in the valley. Not only was there ample space for our group, there were many interesting places to take photos and enjoy each others company. Stacey was extremely responsive to all of our messages, and the stay was seamless. They also gave us a great local coffee recommendation.

Everything about Kristy’s place was as good if not better than we expected. From the moment that we made the reservation to the time that we checked out everything was wonderful!! The instructions for our late arrival were easy to follow and the cabin was neat, clean and exactly what we were hoping for after a long late night drive together there. I highly recommend staying at Kristy’s place and will definitely go back whenever we are driving through the area!!

We loved our stay at Russel’s unit! It was surrounded by beautiful nature and wildlife and his place was well equipped for cooking and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Russel went the extra mile by lighting the fireplace each night and letting the kids collect eggs from the chicken coop, an unforgettable experience for them! Kerrie and Tony were fabulous! Communicating with us before check in and gave us plenty of recommendations. On arrive, we had a cute letter and a basket full of goodies. Was incredibly flexible with checking in early and checking out late. Will definitely be back again!

A very comfortable house. Great location to town and everywhere else we wanted to go. Hosts were very flexible and very helpful. Responded immediately whenever we needed something. Most enjoyable and highly recommend it to anyone.

Had a wonderful weekend at Sally's house at the foot of Power's Lookout. Very comfortable and just what we were after. Highly recommended.

Our large extended family (5 adults, 3 children and one dog) had a wonderful stay at Rosedale. It was absolutely perfect for our needs and was warm and cosy with many thoughtful touches. The gardens are beautiful and the setting perfect, just a short cycle ride from Mansfield and a perfect to end our family trip along the Great Victorian Rail Trail.

We stay here every year and will keep doing so for as long as Nicole will have us! Amazing place to stay for groups of families wanting to get away. We love it, and so do our kids! Amazing place to create memories and play board games!!

Louisa was the best host I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. Her stay at Castella was everything we wanted and more, quiet, serene, gorgeous. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to get away with their partner. As an added bonus the dogs are the friendliest and love playing fetch! (I just wouldn’t wear clean clothes while playing with them as they do like to jump on you with muddy paws.) Kinglake is only 10 minutes away, Healesville 20, both of them are fantastic little towns with beautiful cafes and surroundings. This was absolutely perfect.
