“Cristina was a wonderful host. She met us at the parking area to help us find the apartment. She showed us her favorite restaurants and a map of the area and was kind in getting us settled. We loved the location, right in the center of all of the sites and many restaurants. We decided to stay her another day instead of going to Porto as planned, and we are glad we did. The location is perfect for exploring the Duoro Valley.”

“Our stay with Elda and Jose was a unique experience. We were welcomed with a glass of their own made red wine. We received helpful information on quintas we could visit in the area and received a basket with fresh bread and juice etc for breakfast. We were then invited to dinner as they were celebrating the bottling of their white wine. We were welcomed to their dinner among their friends and family (30 people) with open arms. We are truly grateful for the hospitality and experience we received.”
A perfect place to visit all Douro Valley! Near Lamego and Régua, inserted in a vineyard, it is perfect to relax and enjoy the sights.
“The Mill house is a beautiful retreat from the crazy tourist locations. It is a lovely stone house by a river amongst the vineyards. You could not find a more tranquil setting. The house is a good location to explore the Cistercian monasteries to the south and the Douro Valley to the north. We loved both excursions and then the return to our little piece of heaven.”
