Berber Nomad Camp in the Desert + Activities

Discover the deeply stunning beauty of the Sahara desert at our quiet camp among the dunes. Here you will be able to listen to traditional music under a sea of stars, eat mouth-watering Moroccan dishes, and sleep in one of our four cozy adobe style huts with double or twin beds, and shower and flushing toilet inside. We are 2 km from M’Hamid El Ghizlane—away from the loud streets of town, you will find peace and tranquility in the desert, we will meet you from M’Hamid when you arrive.

Sleep in a haima in the Sahara-Chegaga Berber Camp

The Camp is located 55 km west of M'hamid, right under the foot of Chigaga - one of the two highest Moroccan dunes. The camp consists of 6 haimas-bed rooms, a bigger haima that we use like living room and as a dining room, an area with a thatched roof, with comfortable mattresses to enjoy the outdoors next to which we light a bonfire at night, where we meet with our guests to chat, have a tea or enjoy Berber music. We have also a kitchen and a common bathroom with toilets and showers.

The Zaid garden - Peace, love & permaculture

The Zaid garden is a family run household of me, my wife and our two children - 3 & 5 years old, with permaculture farm. We only rent out full pension. Breakfast, lunch and dinner we offer for 15€ per person and day. Vegetarian or vegan good can be prepared, just let us know before. The meals we ask you to pay for once you are here and in cash. The house is big with spacy rooms on huge land surronded by palm trees. There's even a live band playing some nights.

Room at the gates of the desert

The Oasis Source de Vie is the work of Madani, a child of the desert, and Marie. This place was born from a deep desire to reconnect with ancestral traditions and preserve the fragile environment of the desert. The houses are built using traditional techniques and materials present on site as much as possible. At the gates of the Sahara, you will have the beginning of the immensity of the desert on the horizon, and you can admire the sunset every evening.

This spacious and bright apartment offers a modern and comfortable setting located in the heart of the Zagora palm grove. Features a well-equipped open kitchen that offers an ideal space for cooking. And an air-conditioned bedroom is spacious with a comfortable bed in the center, and a large window. The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a sink, toilet and modern shower. And a traditional stay. Our bivouac is an oasis of desert calm, 7km from Mhamid town - transport from the town to the campsite is provided. Nestled at the door of soft golden dunnes a place to reconnect with nature and relax under the shaded trees in the peaceful desert landscape. 6 nomadic tents (if you would like a group booking, please send an enquiry) Traditional showers Magic cuisine - breakfast included. Our Mhamid Desert Camp is set a step away from the famous village of Mhamid, staying our Camp gives you the opportunity to watch breathtaking sunsets and sunrises, lose your self in the silence and peacefulness of our charming Berber tents as well as enjoy Berber campfires with traditional music, excellent traditional diners and breakfasts. You will also have the chance to join one of our desert tours run by our Berber team.

DAR BANI is a charming guest house with a Berber family atmosphere, we are happy to welcome you and share our culture and tradition with you. The house is located in LEBLIDA, a small typical village located in the Draa Valley and very close to Jabel BANI, not far from the sand dunes. An ideal authentic place far from civilization for your comfort.
