Millies - perfect for a Couple

Welcome to Millies, a charming, cosy miner’s cottage in the historic town of Derby. In 1874 George Renison Bell discovered tin and miners flocked to the valley. In 1876 the ‘Brothers Mine’ which was named after the Krushka brothers, was opened. The settlement that grew up around the mine became known as ‘Brothers Home’ and that name persisted until in 1887 it was decided to change the name to Derby. Come and visit the world class mountain biking trail network of Derby!

Known to the locals as the bottle house, the original old cottage has plenty of character with bottles cemented into the wall around the fire place and a wagon wheel set into a stone wall. A recently completed extension has added 2 Large Bedrooms with views of the lavish hills, the property faces north catching the sun. The property is peaceful and quiet , surrounded by hilly pastures and direct access to a fully fenced native forest with a few MTB trails for a short ride (Kersbrook Stash) and other areas for walks. It is great for couples, MTB riders and specially families because Minishredders Babysitting Service is just next door.
