Hobart Hideaway Pods offer multi-award winning, boutique eco-friendly tourist accommodation set amongst the rural part of Mt Wellington's foothills conveniently located just 20 minutes from Hobart. Two architecturally designed pods boast stand out environmentally conscious with the aim of minimising environmental footprint. Guests are surrounded by floor to ceiling windows and sweeping decks connecting them with landscaped gardens, wildlife, and expansive water views across the Derwent Estuary.
“Great hideaway from the city! There was a little noise from the highway but was totally made up for by the beautiful view down the green fields and the sea! Sitting on the porch with the beautifully designed accordian glass doors open and a steaming glass of hot tea was the best experience ever! If only we can cook our meals in the pod, and we will hide away in the vanilla pod forever :) the luxurious compost toilet was also an interesting experience for us!”

“The container was everything we could wish for and more! The space was so beautiful, and being able to wake up and look at the sheep on the hill, overlooking the view, immaculate. We did a puzzle, played chess, and danced the night away with the amazing record collection. Also loved how it was an option to purchase bubbles and food onsite. Truly outstanding place and can’t wait to come back.”

Explore the property's many walks with falls, cliffs, massive gums, vivid mosses & huge tree ferns all framed by a vast mountain panorama. Wallabies are easily seen. Unique, secluded, unmatched.
“We found the Tiny House in Fern Tree Gully to be exactly as described. Very glad we booked for 4 days as it gave us time to relax and explore the area without a car. On our 4th day we drove to Mt Field National Park, an easy hours drive away. Fantastic view from both outside and inside the house. Comfy king size bed and we enjoyed listening to the music supplied before getting up in the morning. Much more relaxing than putting on the news! Sharp knife (unusual in short term stays) and we loved the Turkish towels which dried easily after use. David was an entertaining host who provided maps to assist us to explore the area safely. We were full of admiration for all the tracks he's made around the house in the gully. Friendly wildlife at the front door and David's dog Fungus added enjoyment to our stay.”
