In the summer has a great hiking opportunities in the nearby area and a short way to Lesjaskog Vatnet with very good fishing opportunities. Mariplass seter er en perle som ligger på Dovrefjell. Det er en koselig seter med fem sengeplasser. I stua er det en vedovn som varmer godt. Kjøkkenet består av en koketopp som går på gass, med plass til tre kjeler. Vann kan man finne til høyre for utedoen. Der finnes også nedbygd «kjøleskap». Området består av et rikt dyreliv, og dersom man er heldig kan man kan få øye på blant annet villrein, rype, hare og moskus.
