Small but super cozy and functionally furnished room overlooking the unobstructed nature. Location right behind the dyke in a former village church. In the morning, a delicious breakfast awaited us in the landlord's living room. We will be happy to come back.

We had a lovely getaway at Rainaldo and Diana's place. Gladly again, highly recommend it.

A beautiful stay. I took my mum to Amsterdam for a surprise trip for her 50th birthday and Sebastiaan and Brigits place was perfect, just off the main road so central but peaceful. We were very lucky with the weather so the courtyard was a gorgeous place to relax in the sun. Huge extra effort from Sebastiaan and Brigit decorating the room with balloons, a 50 banner and number balloon and beers in the fridge, very thoughtful and mum loved it. Sebastiaan was super responsive and helpful. Thank you guys! ☺️

Vidi lived in the accommodation as described and was also responsive to questions. She is very friendly and helpful. I had a problem with the rented e-bike and she called the store directly. Her private area is separated, so you still have your own privacy and your own entrance. When she noticed that I was arriving earlier in Alkmaar and leaving later, she offered me an earlier check-in and a later check-out. In advance, she gave me good tips for a supermarket and e-bike rental on request. It's about a 25-minute walk to the center, but I knew that before. But you can also take the bus. The bus stop is around the corner. I really enjoyed my stay and would book with Vidi again anytime.

Spacious accommodations for a large group. Staff at front desk are extremely welcoming and helpful. The rooms and building facilities were extremely clean. The trains and buses are just a short walk away - 5 mins train ride to Amsterdam CS. Perfect location to explore various surrounding areas.

We had a fabulous time at Monique’s place. The view across to the windmills of Zaanse Schans was a real highlight, right up there with the breakfasts. We were unaware that the day after our arrival was King’s Day but Monique very kindly looked up the public transport timetable for us which ensured our trip into Amsterdam to join pre-booked tours went without a hitch. Monique’s checkout flexibility also allowed a second visit to Zaanse Schans which we really appreciated. Thank you so much Monique, staying with you was a wonderful end to our travels.

Probably one of the best places I have been to. Spacious room, quiet but 10 minutes walking from center place, absolutely lovely and responsive hosts, and a breakfast in the room that you cannot describe with words (local food, made with care and dedication). I really enjoyed my 3 days at Leiden, and will keep the reference for any future visit. Worth a 5 as few deserve!

We loved our stay at Bianca’s place! The surrounding area is peaceful and rural, and not far from the beach/sea. There is a bus to the train station in Hoorn, though it doesn’t run late. We didn’t have a car but got along fine by bus/walking. Great place for a family stay. The alpacas and other animals were so cute! We were all quite taken with them, and we all had our favorites. Breakfast was really good - fresh farm breakfast with homemade yogurt and jams, and eggs from the farm. Bianca is super friendly and helpful! We would recommend Bianca’s place to anyone!

Irmi was a very kind and welcoming host, and we felt right at home upon entering. She was very communicative and helpful throughout our stay and gave us many tips for buying public transportation tickets. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and safe.

The house was absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. I especially loved the bathroom, and the breakfast was great. The terrace garden was stunning and such a peaceful spot to relax. We had a pleasant time at Simone's place. The accommodation was very nice, close to transportation and not too far from the train station. Having our little independence within the accommodation allowed us to wander our activities without fear. A very comfortable accommodation and very warm hosts with many tips and recommendations. Beautifull house, stylist and clean. Maurice is nice person, every day he prepare for bfast. Our b'fast feels like we stay at suite room at the hotel and the bed so comfy. Twice transit from Amsterdam to this house (this route cover by regional amsterdam pass train, recommend pass if you are tourist ). This place 10 mnt from station and supermarket by walk, and bus station in front this house. Thank you Maurice.

We loved our stay at Doet’s houseboat. It was good value for money and had useful amenities such as shampoo and conditioner, tea and coffee and a little fridge. Doet was super responsive and helpful. The only thing I didn’t quite appreciate was that the room is downstairs to someone’s apartment on the houseboat, so we could hear them getting up for work in the morning. But apart from that it was a great experience being on a houseboat in Amsterdam and would recommend it!

This location was absolutely incredible for easy, walkable access to Amsterdam. After exploring the city, I truly believe it to be the best area. Allysa gave us several great food recommendations, all delicious and affordable. Literally never had a bad meal! She also went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and provided such amazing hospitality. As mentioned in the listing, there are a few flights of narrow, steep stairs to access the top floor (as does all houses in Amsterdam); it’s super important to keep that in mind for luggage and physical limitations. We got used to it after a day or two, but the luggage was a journey LOL. The top floor is open concept with lockable doors for each bedroom, and Allysa’s apartment is at the base of the stairs. It was very comfortable without feeling like you’re sharing space. The rooftop terrace was wonderful to enjoy fresh air in the evenings! We had the best time and hope to return in the future!

What a great stay! Janmartin and Jacco made us feel welcomed and right at home. They communicated quickly, clearly, and efficiently. They provided a book of local things to do and see, including restaurants. Everything was ready when we arrived, the apartment was clean, and if we needed anything (like extra towels or information ), they responded. After exploring the Netherlands each day, we loved coming back in the evening to such a beautiful peaceful place to wind down and sleep in the comforting bed. Sunsets over the water around the block were stunning. Plenty of hot water for showers. The two of us highly recommend this Airbnb

Very nice place, in a peaceful environment. Very nice hosts who let us arrive a little earlier so our daughter can take a nap. A very good breakfast too. We'll be back with pleasure and recommend this place:)
