Apostolos is a great, responsive host, who met us at the ferry station and accompanied us to the house (2 minutes drive), gave all the different tips and shared all the places to go on the island. The house is a comfy spacious place in an olive grove surrounded by nature. It was very quiet while we were staying there, not very hot, because of the thick walls. We liked it a lot.

I went there with my grandparents and we had an amazing time. We even went fishing with the host and he prepared dinner for us one night that he cooked which was incredibly delicious. It’s location is perfect for people who want to relax a bit outside of the city, however it’s not far to go to the city of Alexandrupolis. There is also a few restaurants in walking distance of the place. My favourite part was the beach that is super close and it’s just you there which is very relaxing. I can definitely recommend the place and would come again!

Great location - 4min walk to the nearest slope. You go down the slope, take the lift and you are at the nearest ski center! The apartment complex is very quiet, with beautiful panoramic view. The host is very kind, helpful and responsive. Our stay was 10/10 - could not recommend it more!

Everything was great. The neighborhood is a very calm, fully relaxing place. The houses are new and spotless. We did not go anywhere else directly and spotlessly clean at the bottom of the sea. The kitchen has everything needed to cook with everything needed to cook. Georgi and her family were very hospitable, thank you again for everything from here. They patiently answered all our questions and gave us local advice (which was great too) We were extremely pleased with every place we went to) We never thought we would feel so at home, but we didn't want to leave. If possible, we would definitely extend our vacation and spend more time. Families with small children are very convenient. As I said above, it is a quieter and relaxing place, but it was also very easy for us to get to more lively places by car. It's a great place full of clean, decent, and friendly people that you can choose without blinking.

Although we had difficulty at first, we found the location comfortably. Our room was extremely clean, tidy and comfortable, just as described. All the items were extremely tasteful and quality selected, as if it were being used for the first time. The view of our room was very nice , it was great for both morning coffee and watching the sun go down. Thank you Sarah for this peaceful perfect holiday...

One of the most wholesome stays I have had the pleasure to experience. Tomislav is very friendly, flexible and fast to respond. Everything in the house was great and as described. Definitely the best kitchen I have encountered in any Airbnb - from good knives to a wide variety of utensils and tools, the kitchen was very well stocked with a lot of products and we lacked nothing. As food lovers and cooks, we really appreciated it. The house is very nice and cozy with a beautiful view from the balcony. One can feel all the personal and sweet touches that Tomislav has made, the place is embedded with care, which is not found that often. The village is rustic and very authentic, with very wholesome and nice people around. We were treated like family! The surrounding area is beautiful! Quite some places to visit, the silence, peace, simplicity and beauty are top-tier therapy. I really hope I will be lucky enough to go back again!

Giannis is a very friendly and helpful person. He informed us in a detailed way about the Thassos island and beaches. Gave us some useful tips also about the beaches of the village Skala Marion. Calm and peaceful place which has some good restaurants. Thanks Giannis

Sunlit House by the Sea

We had a wonderful stay as three adults and two kids. Very cosy, tastefully decorated, comfortable beds, extremely clean home. We felt safe and secure. The beach is right by the place so great for morning dip before breakfast. Highly appreciated the two different types of coffee machines! Everything was immaculate from kitchen to bathroom also bedrooms. Thinking of booking again for next summer!

We had a fabulous 10 days at Akile's place in Kallirachi. The villa was lovely and we enjoyed the view and the pool. Akile was very helpful and accommodating with check in and bringing us a fan as it was so hot - thank you. Great place to stay :)

Calypso 1 Rural Experience at the heart of Makri

First of all, Makri is a wonderful place, whenever I come to Alexandroupoli I stay in Makri. So where do I stay in Makri, of course in Calypso. The experience of a renovated village house with a history of over 100 years was unforgettable. Nana is a wonderful person, knowledgeable and very helpful. From the start, Joseph was a fantastic host—warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful. The villa is a hidden gem, nestled in a peaceful area yet close to the ski lifts. We were looking for a cozy retreat in the snow, and this place was perfect! The fully functional fireplace made our evenings extra special. The house is well-equipped, comfortable, and surrounded by stunning mountain views. Joseph provided great recommendations, from local markets to ski spots, and even helped us find accommodation for our friends. The pet-friendly policy was a huge plus, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful hospitality. We loved every moment here and can’t wait to return—perhaps in summer to enjoy the different charm of this place. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful and cozy escape in Pamporovo!
