Beautiful 2-Bed Chalet + Hot Tub near StrathpefferBluebell Lodge is situated on a 1000 acre family hill farm. The hill a Marilyn, not a Munro is
clothed in birch trees with an under carpet of heather and bracken. On one side we have the River Conon which meets the Blackwater and the whole then runs back to Loch Achilty.
Loch Achilty is a kettle loch and is very deep. It is home to carp and pike but has periodically been stocked with rainbow trout, brown trout and Orin Blues. Guest are very welcome to fish from the bank within the farm boundary, at no cost. The Loch is popular with conoeists, paddle boarders and wild swimmers who mainly enter from a Council lay-by.
Red kites, osprey, sparrow hawks and buzzards are all seen on the farm, sometimes a peril to skylarks and other smaller birds. Owls have nested for years in one of the barns.
