Lydford House is ideally situated off the A30 and on Route27 within the tranquil village of Lydford in Dartmoor National Park. Lydford Gorge is a 15-minute walk away. We are 'Eco Friendly' cutting out single use plastics and using local product/suppliers. All our mattresses are handmade locally from Dartmoor wool and our pillows are 100 wool filled. A quite and tranquil place to stay with beautiful gardens and views. The village is well served with 2 pubs within 10 minutes walking distance.

The Shippon is a meticulously converted cow barn with heated, polished concrete floors, gently curving deep green walls, hand-built kitchen, warmly lit reading nooks, & natural materials. Woollen blankets, feather sofa, antique Scandinavian log burner, king-size bed with French linen & down, waterfall shower, & the softest towels. Our sleepy Devon hamlet is only lit by stars at night. Popular studio style base for those walking, riding or cycling around Dartmoor. Comfortable and relaxing space. Smart tv and wi-fi access. On the outskirts of Lydford on the A386. Lydford Gorge is a short drive away. Cross the road to the footpath that takes you onto the moor. Just 10mins off the A30 a comfortable stop over with easy access to 3 good pubs catering for all requirements. Bike storage and luggage room. Hob microwave and airfyer only. The Annexe is on a small holding.

A perfect getaway for up to 4 people with two large roomy bedrooms, a fantastic open living area and a large outdoor decking. There's a whole heap of things to do within the local area - popular excursions are; water sports on the lake, walking and cycling. NB - the annex is not suitable for under 8 (see safety info) Recently added is a three person infra-red Sauna.

Tavistock & Okehampton 20 min & Bude 45 min drive making easy to explore the South West.
