Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Marco de Canaveses

We truly enjoyed our time relaxing at this scenic and historic place. Right along the river, attached to walking trails in a little park. Plenty of space and all the comforts of home. We spent a cool December evening here cozying up next to the fire and reading about the history of the region. The bridge/entrance dates back to roughly 1660-1740, incredible!

This was a dream vacation - we had just moved to Portugal and spent 2 weeks getting setup. We wanted a quiet week as a family to rest before school started. This place was perfect: perched on a mountainside in the middle of vines, the space was quiet, peaceful and beautifully designed and appointed. Paulo, the husband, is an architect who refurbishes vintage designer furniture. Teyna, the wife, is an amazing chef. Her breakfasts (included) we delicious and the dinners they offer in their adjoining restaurant and well crafted and tasty. Their place is pet friendly - we brought our dog, and they have a dog, two cats and two birds. We did outings to Porto, nearby Roman ruins, historic villages and swam in the rivers running through them. It was delightful.

Perfect reception from Miquelina and Eduardo. The house is beautiful. The arrival raises doubts because the road is tight. But Miquelina answers all questions in real time! I highly recommend it. It's perfect!

Quinta da Lameira was one of the best estates we've found in the last 10 years. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 children and the farm showed that it had all the potential for a few days well spent. The house is very functional, well-equipped and bright. The living room and kitchen, in open space, allowed the whole group to be in constant contact and the children had space to play. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The 3 suites were comfortable and the bunk bed room was perfect for the 4 children. It was the first house we stayed in where everything worked smoothly, from the hot water, heating, the electrical panel. The outside is very pleasant, even though it was in December, we just couldn't enjoy the pool. But even so, S. Pedro helped and, especially the children, managed to play on the slide and in the toy house. And we managed to have a barbecue. I believe a summer stay on this farm is amazing.

We stayed at Casa Da Torre for 7 days and loved it. The place is spacious, private, and peaceful, with great views over the Douro River. It is a great base for exploring the Duoro River valley. Marta was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Great hosting, José was very responsive and flexible on schedules. The house was very clean with all the necessities. I recommend it.

Casa da Ponte de Espindo is the perfect place to spend a weekend of rest in a quiet and beautiful place. The house is beautifully decorated and with all the things we needed for everyday life. It was very clean. Tiago was very flexible both at check in and out, and always very responsive, worried and attentive in messages. The fact that you accept pets is a huge bonus! The swimming pool and all the outdoor space is beautiful! We love :)

We loved staying at Americo’s house. It was in a stunning location with beautiful views as far as the eye can see of the Douro valley. The house sits in well loved landscaped gardens, with a lovely pool and outside sitting/eating area. There is a bonus area with fruit trees. The house is well furnished, cosy and comfortable. It was plenty of room for two small families. Our hosts were so kind and communicated well throughout the process. We did have problems locating the house, even following the instructions (Apple Maps sent us to the wrong location). But the hosts were patient. It’s a bit of a drive to go to larger sight seeing attractions and very windy for non-confident drivers. But for us it was perfect - we had all we needed in a 20 minute radius and drove to Porto for one day (it’s a 50 minute drive). The house and location is stunning and the hosts welcoming - I would definitely return and recommend to others!

Everything was 5*, from the booking in which they answered all questions, to the check-out. Breakfast was very well filled and was well worth the value. The friendliness and helpfulness were points in favor. The house was very well arranged and clean. Everything about this stay surprised us on the upside. It was only a few days, but it was worth it. Our stay at Cidalia's place was simply wonderful. The setting is a real paradise: with a beautiful pool, a lovely farmhouse with orchards and sheep, and spectacular views of the Douro that can be enjoyed from a very well-kept snack area. The house was decorated with great affection with Easter details, which gave it a very special and cozy touch. Cidalia and her family were exceptional hosts. In the morning they approached to greet us and gave us fresh fruit and eggs, a detail that made us feel at home!!! In addition to green wine and everything you need for a good breakfast. The house itself is warm and very welcoming, they made us feel right at home. Definitely an experience that we would repeat with our eyes closed. Thank you for so much care, love and hospitality!

The house is great and everything you can enjoy , the only catch would be the barbecue that didn't have a good shot and the smoke didn't go well.

A perfect stay! The house is very clean and very well equipped, with everything you need, the garden and pool are beautiful. The photos are representative of the villa and once there it is even prettier. Bernardo is a very attentive host, everything is done to make the stay enjoyable. We were delighted to stay at Bernardo's place and we thank him for the quality of the stay.

We absolutely loved this place. The views from the pool area are amazing, the living room is spacious and cosy, and the kitchen very well equipped. On top of that the surroundings are beautiful and there are plenty activities to do. Oh and Dona Paula was very friendly and helpful. Would love to come back one day!

An unforgettable week, without a doubt a place to return because it undoubtedly made us feel at home, to highlight the friendliness and warm welcome from Sara's parents and Dona Margarida, an exceptional place for those who want to spend a relaxing moment with family and rest, very complete house, with nothing to point out, cleanliness without any detail to point out, well located and private. We'd like to highlight the good communication with Dona Sara, who always responded quickly to any questions from us. Thanks for everything.

We spent 15 days in the house and were delighted. The hosts are very helpful and kind and were great. The house is very comfortable and is very well equipped, it does not lack anything( well, a slightly more modern TV) the area is beautiful and there is a lot to visit. Above they admit dogs and the mias have enjoyed on the estate as locas. The photos do not honor the house. Thank you for everything Very , highly recommended.

We loved our hosts. We loved the boat. Very clean and comfy. We had the host take us up river in a 4 hour tour that was wonderful. We made the mistake of thinking that the boat was docked in a larger town, closer to the wine country with restaurants and things we could walk to from the boat. It was very isolated in a small quiet town. If your looking for that you will love it .
