Holiday rentals with a kayak in Matamata-Piako District

Amazing and responsive hosts, we loved staying at the Bach, was everything it promised to be. A great space in a beautiful setting. Thanks to Caro and Bill, for the house and the amazing avos!!

We loved our stay at Vicky's place and didn't want to leave!! Was exactly what we were after for our stay and so relaxing to retreat back there at the end of our busy day.

A beautiful place to stay, comfortable, Cheryl was a responsive host, leant us beach/ camp chairs for our visit. The photos don't do the house or surroundings justice, it's a wonderful place to stay. Great neighbourhood, the view of the bay changes all the time , with the tide and the weather, my favourite time of day was at the top of the tide when there was no wind and the bay was like a mirror. Lots to explore , beaches, waterfalls, swimming holes, thermal pools, mountains, gorges. We want to return in 2026, still so many places to explore.

Wonderful spot with an amazing view. Lots for the kids to do, Flint was a hit, as was the fire pit, pool, spa and creek. Checked our eel trap as we left and caught (and released) an eel, memorable end to a lovely family mini break. Thank you Yana.

We had an enjoyable two nights at Anne’s peaceful home. She made us feel very welcome-offering plenty of local recommendations, encouraging us to make ourselves at home, buying us some wine and supplying yummy Hot Cross Buns for breakfast!! Lovely comfortable bed and great shower. A great base for us to explore Athenree, Bowentown and Waihi Beach. Thank you Anne!

It was easy to communicate with Sharn. The accommodation is spacious and nice, and the house comes with a large garden and a trampoline! Sharn kindly allowed us to eat the fruit from the garden, and the plums were delicious.

What a great spot. We loved our stay with our overseas extended family at the West’s Residence. The facilities are amazing. The pool and beachfront location were perfect and everything you need for a beach holiday was provided. Claudia was excellent at communicating with us. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!
