Holiday rentals with a fire pit in McCracken County

I came to Paducah to work with the police department. Kevin's property is very convenient to downtown. The house is amazing with high ceilings, fixtures and paintings that fit a bygone era, but with all the modern conveniences that weren't available in the mid-1800s when this heritage home was built. I did not venture upstairs, but I'm certain that everything upstairs would have been just as clean and interesting as the rest of this amazing house. When you step back in time by going through the massive front door, you find yourself in a foyer with a sitting room that was perfectly suited to the mid-1800s. I marveled at how the modern A/C, appliances, and plumbing had been tastefully integrated with such a historic setting. The fact that the owner is an architect makes perfect sense. I slept in the back bedroom and the bed was very comfortable and adorned with high quality pillows and bedding. It was quiet every evening and I had fantastic sleep each night. I highly recommend.

Our stay was fabulous! The house is lovely, and the location is great for anything you want to do in Paducah. The house was clean, comfortable, and had all the basics. Our host was more than perfect - she takes very good care of her guests. She immediately responded to our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for a great time in Paducah!

I needed to stay somewhere halfway between Chicago and Atlanta. Sara's place was perfect. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. Sara is a gracious host.

I stayed for 3 weeks working in Wickliffe at the paper mill. Just what I needed. comfortable bed, my own bathroom and a kitchen to cook in. The owners kept to themselves as I worked long hours. they even let me use their charcoal grill

House felt right at home. Was easy to find and in a good location. Very clean house! Stayed here with some friends for a wedding and cost wise was better for us all to split this property instead of getting a hotel room. It was nice to stay all together with our group due to plenty of rooms and beds!

Suzan’s place really was exceptional! We felt as if we were in our own little home. There were special touches everywhere that made us wish we were staying longer! We would highly recommend Suzan’s for a quiet & relaxing stay.

We visited during the winter, so much less to do. However, we did find plenty to do and see. Would be a great family spot during the summer, with easy access to the lake and nice space inside and out. Kimberley was very attentive and make sure things were taken care of as needed.

This was the perfect place to stay to explore LowerTown and enjoy Paducah. The space was immaculately clean and immediately felt like a home.

Tammy was fantastic and kind. The place was great for a weekend of turkey hunting and close enough to get to the city to shop and find other things to do as well. We would stay again.

It was a sweet, peaceful get away!

We had a great time staying at Steve's Hideaway in Golconda. The location is relatively close to some fantastic hiking trails in Shawnee National Forest. Rebecca was a super responsive, friendly host, and she even went above and beyond to lend us a couple items we needed while we were there. The apartment is spotless, and we are SO grateful that we found dog-friendly lodging so we could bring our fur-babies hiking with us, which they absolutely loved! The beds are super comfy and have the softest linens ever. Rebecca was also really flexible about check-in and check-out times, which took all the stress away of having to time our trip just right to arrive and leave on time. Our family had a great experience!

This condo exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and had everything we needed plus more. You can’t beat the location and view. Beds were very comfortable. Loved having access to the garage, most condos we’ve stayed in keep the garage locked. Made unloading so much easier and gave us a place to sit outside without being in the sun. Mason was a great host and made us feel at home the moment we walked in. We absolutely will stay here again!!

Place was perfect. Easy to get to and close to the dam. Little tight backing boat in, but had no issue with 21’ bass boat and crew cab Chevy 2500 diesel with 8’ bed! Will definitely be looking to stay here again

Jonathan was a great host and super responsive to messages when we wanted to reach out. The location was great -- tucked away but still near enough to anywhere we needed to get to.

I rented this cabin for my uncle and my 2 cousins to celebrate my uncle’s soon-to-be 95th birthday. My cousin said it was easy to find and to get inside. They planned to do some fishing and they had a question about what kind of bait they should use in the lake and their question was answered promptly The only area of concern was that there had been some wet towels left in the bathtub, and my cousin said it made the inside smell very “mildewed”. She tried to wash the towels, but the washer was new and needed to be programmed or reset, so she couldn’t use it…. One of the hosts, Jerry, called me (I wasn’t staying at the cabin) and explained about the washer being new. I didn’t fully understand that the issue was the towels had left the cabin smelling moldy until my cousin explained it to me. But Jerry quickly called me to explain the issue with the washer and he said if we needed clean towels to leave the dirty ones outside the front door and they would wash them.

Cozy Hilltop Cabin is an understatement. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this was an excellent land spot for our time at Quiltweek in Paducah. The accommodations were very comfortable and we had everything we needed to start the day before heading out in the morning. Thanks for a wonderful time. wish we had brought the boat and stayed longer.

Our group of long time friends had a great time there. The house is great and had lots of amenities. Very roomy and had one of the best stocked kitchens I’ve seen for a rental. We enjoyed the game room, fire pit and large deck. We would definitely rent there again! The host is quick to respond to any questions we had.

Loved our stay and plan to return. Beautiful surroundings and sweet little cabin that felt so homey. Host is very accommodating.

This is our second stay at Little Texas and it certainly won’t be our last! It feels like our home in Shawnee. The house is clean and has everything we need for the week. It’s surrounded by beautiful land. We fished and had a fire. We really enjoyed our time on the property and of course exploring the forest!
