Holiday rentals in Medbourne

Absolutely lovely place. My second time here and it is just perfect. Amenities are top tier with clear instructions - we booked the games barn extra and had a lovely night playing games and making pizzas in the pizza oven. The house is extremely homely and cosy, with plenty of space for everyone. The hot tub and sauna are great. Love the animals in the garden. Lovely location for gentle walks and pub just over the road or a nice walk into the next village. Well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen including some little treats, and even robes, extra towels, toiletries and flip flops etc. Really excellent home & hosts. Thanks very much!

A lovely home from home cottage with all amenities you'll ever need. Even provided stairs gates and a high chair upon request. Great location to explore the area and having a pub within 1 minute walk is a bonus!

We had a lovely stay at the Hobbit. The hut is lovely, cozy, well looked after and clean. Amy is very responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed our experience at the Hobbit and will definitely be back in the future. Recommended

Puddle Cottage - what a beautiful, cosy place to stay, within walking distance to Rutland Water. On arrival communication from Anna was excellent, and we were able to check in early, and there was a lovely welcome gift of Wine, cakes and milk too. The cottage is just great, Anna has made it feel like it is your own home, with so many home comforts, comfy furniture and bed, decent TV, a fully stocked kitchen, with lots of pots, pans, utensils and crockery, no skimping at all. Everything stands out a good quality - which is so nice when you are away from home. We stayed with our black Labrador and he was also happy, with a secure garden for him (and some doggy treats from Anna). We did lots of walks around the lovely friendly village, and around Rutland Water, and also had a fab dinner one evening at The Fox, North Luffenham. We would come back again and would thoroughly recommend Puddle Cottage.

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. The cottage and the village are beautiful. Stephanie and her daughter gave us all the information we needed and were lovely to deal with. Hope to be back again soon!

We’re a family of 5 and were staying at Lesley’s house for our daughter’s graduation. The house was perfect for our multi generations and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend staying in South Croxton.

Cannot thank Maggie again for going above and beyond to make our stay so perfect: we have felt so welcomed and looked after yet with complete privacy. What a clean, comfortable, well equipped and just beautiful place to stay filled with natural light, surrounded by garden and yet right in the village and so close to bigger towns and Rutland Water. Went away for the weekend and had an amazing stay. The Shepard’s hut was spotless with all the amenities listed. The hot tub and outdoor space was lovely and easy to use. The local area was stunning, with lovely walks and restaurants near by. A perfect getaway.
