Fumba itself is calm, secure, and beautifully laid out — ideal if you want a break from the tourist buzz. What really sets this stay apart is Hashim himself: kind, respectful, and incredibly helpful without ever being intrusive. He genuinely wants you to feel at home, and it shows. Whether you’re creating, healing, or just needing a safe, quiet space — this is it. I left feeling more grounded and clear than when I arrived. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

We stayed at Fumba town for 5 days and the place was brilliant. Thanks to our lovely host and area the place was worth it. Bathroom and rooms looked better than in the picture.

A beautiful apartment with a perfect blend of old charm and modern touches. The furniture and accents were so beautiful. The stay was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Great location with everything within walking distance. The stairs to get up to the apartment looked intimidating but doable after you get your luggage up the first time! Would stay here again, it was a stunning first impression of Stone town with a balcony overlooking the amazing architecture of the area! Thank you!

A very great place. Quiet, away from all the noise. The house is very clean with full time available maids for taking care of the guests needs. Good communication from the host and it is worth a price. I will definitely come back.

We discovered our Eden, where the reality of the place exceeds the listing description. A beautiful discovery with a perfect balance between the modernity of the amenities, the design and the perfect harmony of the place with its natural environment (tropical fauna and flora) around the theme of eco-responsibility. The view from the outdoor terrace is breathtaking and transports us to a waking dream. As for the hosts, Karl and Salha, it's hard to do better. Always attentive, trying to find solutions to make our stay easier and what responsiveness. Perfect communication and additional services offered to further improve the experience (driver, local guide, cook, home massage, car rental brought directly to the accommodation...). In short, the best compromise between the services of a palace and the tranquility in the well-being of a private rental. We didn't want to leave, little paradise

We absolutely loved our weekend at David's place! It may hands down be our favourite spot in Zanzibar, where you are surrounded by a tropical jungle with a beautiful view of the ocean. The swimming pool was incredible. My husband and I, together with our kids had a great time! The chef, Ezekiel, and all of the supporting staff were amazing as well. They gave us just enough privacy but were somehow still there when we needed services. We rented the villa for my husband's birthday and so on day 1 we invited a few friends over. David and his team went above and beyond to make sure that our guests were well taken care of also.

The flat is part of Stone Town but located close enough to main road that getting to it by taxi is sufficiently easy. It was very clean, everything functioned perfectly, and if we had any problems, it was easy to communicate them (we did not have any problems!). We would definitely recommend the flat.
