Fun Things to Do at Plumfield Stable Canoe on the Kickapoo River. Bike on the Sparta/Elroy bike trail or on the La Crosse River Bike Trail. Both are within 15 miles. Hike and Horseback Ride on trails in the beautiful Wildcat Mountain State Park. For the fishing enthusiasts, there are several rivers and streams within 20 miles. Golf on any of the three, public courses within 15 miles of our stable. Shop the large, Amish community nearby. There are bakeries and candy shops to explore and quilts, crafts, and other Amish goods for sale. Tours are available. Boat or take a cruise on the Mighty Mississippi River!

Our Cabin is located in the Heart of Amish Country on 44 Acres. (maps for Amish tours located in the cupboard) We have Wild Cat Mountain State Park, 5 miles away for horseback riding, hiking trails, and a scenic overlook. As well as the Kickapoo Wild Life Reserve in Lafarge. There is Canoe, Kayak and tubing rentals at the Kickapoo River 3 miles away. Elroy-Sparta Bike trail is about 15 miles away. We are located off of Highway 33 between Cashton and Ontario WI.
