Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

Peaceful succulents in the Cèze Valley

We are delighted to invite you to discover this haven of peace near the Ardèche region. The cottage (2 to 4 people), has been created in a converted building on a typical village perched in the hills above the Cèze Valley. The Provençal style has been preserved. The 55m² cottage comprises: a living room with two sofas, one of which is a sofa bed; a fully equipped kitchen and access to a terrace with a table; one bedroom (queen-size bed); and a bathroom with a shower and bathtub.

The 'Puits Saint-André', property with pool

The house is close to the river, shops, restaurants, hills. It has a large open-plan living room–kitchen of almost 50 square metres, connected to a 30-m² terrace. The kitchen is very well equipped. There are two bathrooms, three WCs (one separate), three air-conditioned bedrooms, and very comfortable beds. The swimming pool, the Mediterranean garden and the pétanque court are shared with our second gîte on the estate. The house is perfect for families and groups of friends.

Bernas, a hamlet in Montclus, perched on a rock, between scrubland and olive groves, overlooks the Cèze valley. It is here, in a former sheepfold, that we have created our rooms. The 2 bedrooms can accommodate 5 people, are not interconnected, and open directly onto the patio. Do you like swimming? The swimming pool is 12 metres long. Do you like pétanque? A very bright 165 m2 house on a 2,500 m2 plot overlooking a beautiful Provençal village with a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. The house is very comfortable with 4 beautiful bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen (slicer, Thermomix TM6, etc.) The location is quiet with distant neighbours who cause no disturbance. Please also respect the tranquillity of the village, especially in the evening.
