[1 group per day] Starlit Sauna Hidden Private Lodging/20-minute drive from Morioka Station/Private Retreat Twinkle Stars

A short drive from the city of Morioka. Twinkle Stars, a private mountain retreat standing alone on a hilltop. There, away from everyday life, a special time just for them passes slowly. Outside the accommodation, there is a spacious, large wooden deck measuring approximately 350 m². In this location, which offers the unique sense of openness characteristic of the mountains and where the sky stretches far and wide, you can leisurely enjoy the endless night sky and a sky full of stars when night falls. One of the unique charms of this inn is that, as the city lights recede into the distance, the twinkling of the stars appears even more beautiful. At night, the area around the deck is softly illuminated, creating a special, almost magical atmosphere in contrast to the pitch-black darkness that surrounds it. In spring, the cherry blossoms come into bloom, and spending time admiring the scenery is a truly special experience. Surrounded by the sound of a bonfire, the clear air and the soft lighting, you can enjoy a moment away from everyday life. In addition, we offer an outdoor barrel sauna that you can enjoy under the starry sky. Time spent 'nurturing oneself' in nature makes your stay even more special. Time just for us, without anyone getting in the way. Enjoy a special evening at Twinkle Stars, surrounded by the vast sky and a sky full of stars.

A 10-minute walk from central Morioka On the banks of the Nakatsugawa River… An inn brimming with Morioka charm, available to one group per day 'Oyakuenmae'

Enjoy a timeless stay at this inn, surrounded by the garden of the Nanbu family, lords of the Morioka Domain (now the Morioka Chuo Community Centre Garden), and the Nakatsugawa River, an iconic symbol of Morioka that has flowed through the heart of the castle town since the Edo period. Just a one-minute walk away across the street is a strolling garden, which is said to have been known as the 'Oyaku-en' ('Medicinal Garden') because it was used to grow medicinal herbs for Morioka Castle. Located immediately in front of it, this house displays a sign reading 'Oyakuenmae' and began offering private accommodation in April 2026. We have renovated this 50-year-old building to create a space that combines the old with the new. Based on the concept of providing accommodation that feels like a home away from home, where you can enjoy Iwate as if you lived here and want to return again and again, we will do our utmost to ensure that your stay is a truly heartwarming experience.
