The cottage is located on the banks of the clear Marukawa River. Gifu is famous for Shirakawago and Hida Takayama, but Enbara is also a nice place in the mountains, although it is inconvenient. The scenery of the mountains and rivers is beautiful, and it is a place rich in nature where monkeys and deer appear. The Enbara River is known as the most beautiful underground water in Japan and a famous spot for its light, and the inn is located about 800 meters from the spring water point of the underground water, so the water transparency is excellent. You can also see the light from the inn. On summer mornings, depending on the weather conditions, you can see a magical view of the sunlight pouring through the trees. The water in the Marukara River is cold, but in summer the children play in the river energetically. The riverbed is much cooler, so people can escape the heat and cool off. A little downstream there are several river play spots, and the water is clear everywhere and it feels good to swim beautifully. The water of the river shines emerald green in a slightly deep place, and the scenery of rocks and moss is also wonderful, and it is a healing spot where the mind is purified. There is a deck facing the river on the second floor of the inn, so you can relax while watching the river, BBQ, swing in a hammock while listening to the river, or refresh yourself in the tent sauna.

This is an ECO Satoyama experience type Japanese traditional farmhouse for those who want to enjoy nature. [The charm of the inn] It is a large old private house built 80 years ago using the unblemished wood of the Satoyama. The most attractive feature is the quiet environment in a dead-end village. There is a 200 square meter wooden house with a 350 tsubo large yard. Everything becomes your own space. It's okay if your kids run around or if your baby cries. You can also enjoy a BBQ under the blue sky. The eaves are wide, and it is a pleasant environment where you can have a BBQ even in the rain. Outdoor equipment is also available for rent. The inn is located deep in the city of Yama, adjacent to the north side of Gifu City, right next to the clear waters of the Kanzaki River, and the four containers are arranged to surround the courtyard. The best part of this facility is the sauna. After sweating profusely in the sauna with its warm wooden interior, you can cool down comfortably with an outdoor bath on the wooden deck. We also have a simple pool, so you can use it as a water bath. (Of course, children can also play in the water) Enjoy a luxurious time away from everyday life with a comfortable sauna!

We renovated a 150-year-old thatched-roof house in the Higashikousono area of Yonehara City, reusing the pillars and beams as they were, and focusing on the underfloor, heating and cooling, and water circulation. It is equipped to suit modern lifestyles while feeling the good old traditional construction methods. The room has 2 single beds and futons for 6 people, so it can be used by groups such as families and friends. Enjoy it as a base for experiences such as hiking, playing in the river, and skiing, and as a relaxing place surrounded by lots of nature.

I came to Gifu in 2018, I think it was it’s unpretentiousness that attracted me . The people here seem relaxed and easy going, hospitable and very much in love with their hometown which in the Gifu park area retains much of the (Kyoto like) feeling of traditional Japan with it’s castle and a host of well maintained shrines. I don't think many people have heard of Gifu, even Japanese people, inspite of the Great heritage sights like Shirakawago, beautiful mountains and clear water rivers!

"Moegi" is an old folk house lodging along the Nakasendo in Gifu. We renovated a 60-year-old, 150㎡ old private house to create a private lodging where you can relax. "Moegi" is the name of a traditional Japanese color. It was named to wish for a "good start'' and "child's growth.'' There is a playroom of approximately 32 m² for children. Don't worry if you can't go sightseeing due to rain. There are also many sightseeing spots in the area, making it an ideal base for sightseeing.
