In addition to summer river fun and winter snow play, the Lithuanian barrel sauna and bathing in the source spring right in front of you are highly popular as an 'otherworldly sauna experience'. During the green season, we offer an outdoor bonfire (with a teepee set up depending on the time of year), and in winter, we use an indoor wood-burning stove.You can enjoy a profound moment of conversation while gazing into the fire. Outside, you can enjoy a BBQ on the large grill, a sauna, fireworks, a bonfire and more while gazing at the star-filled sky. There are also no private houses around, so you can enjoy music with loud noises. It is about a 15-minute drive from Takayama Station, but you can also pick up and drop off by car. Medieval Haiku poet, Basho Matsuo likened eternal passage of time to "百代の過客", a permanent traveller. In his time, a hundred years was expressed as eternal. HAKU was originally built as a farmer’s shed about a hundred years ago. It was recently relocated and renovated for another hundred years. HAKU will welcome you as traveling companions.
