It’s been definitely one of my best AirBnB experience. This cottage is absolutely delightful! We loved every minute of our stay. And Anna Maria is a super welcoming host. I highly recommend this place as a great base for exploring stunning Austurland

Jon was very responsive, and he was very accommodating! The home felt comfortable. A couple of things to note, first is the doorways are short. My hubby is 6’3” tall and he hit his head on every door way. And that the only shower is outdoors. I missed that part of the listing. But I’m sure it’s an experience but we did not use it since we only stayed one night. The property and surrounding area is wonderful to explore! Overall a wonderful cozy stay!

Elsa greeted us from the start and gave us a full tour of the facilities (the place we were staying + guest kitchen + hot tub + washing area). The place is absolutely lovely and Elsa was so friendly. Highlights were meeting her cat, playing Elsa's old CDs on the kitchen sound system, enjoying the hot tub under the stars, and having Elsa's homemade bread for breakfast. Thank you so much for the stay Elsa!

We had an amazing stay, we hiked up behind the home and saw some beautiful waterfalls. The home was warm and inviting, and the hot tub was perfect!

The cottage is cozy, spotless and spacious. Kitchen is fully equipped for some serious cooking. Heating works great and covers the whole unit. The location is far out of the town about 25 minutes drive on a gravel road. Stock up before check-in is almost a must. Also, check the weather because the road condition in and out could determine your travel to and fro. The host is very responsive. I had no communication problem during my stay.

Perfectly clean place, lovely and responsive host, overall all according to description- beautiful view from the window. It was just a stop for us on our way to the north, but we could relax and unwind a bit.

Wonderful space with everything we needed. Lovely views and a bonus for us of visible northern lights the night we were there.

We had a lovely and comfortable stay at Ellen's place. The lodge is beautifully and tastefully done. It has all the things needed for a comfortable stay.. The painting room is a nice touch, kids loved it- Thank you! It's a pity that we missed meeting Ellen in person and having more lively interaction with her and maybe getting closer to the pet horses ( kids were looking forward to it...) , but guess in her absence these aren't managed by anyone else.. Overall, it was a great stay, thank you again, Ellen for letting us stay in your beautiful home.. And best wishes for your speedy recovery.. Regards , Rachna
