This is a rental house surrounded by the rich nature of Iizuna Kogen.It was built in the year of the 1998 Nagano Olympics at an altitude of 1200 meters. The traditional wooden building, finished without a single nail, was completed by a famous architect and a master carpenter.It is a calm space where you can feel the warmth of handiwork. Powerful and delicate wood, shoji natural light, shoji and shade of Isamu Noguchi's Akari lighting create a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity. Artisanal stucco walls are used in the room.You can stay comfortably in any season while being surrounded by the scent of cedar and cypress. The size is 195 ㎡. I took over the building, which has been a small hotel for 20 years, and has made a new start as an entire one-floor accommodation. After locally sourcing fresh ingredients, head to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and climb the stairs to carry the ingredients to the hearth space. I don't get to meet other people. From Tokyo to Karuizawa, it is 60 minutes by Shinkansen, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so for example, you can work in the morning and take a half afternoon. There is no houses in neighbor and very quiet area so you can enjoy BBQ party or any group event. We also have fire pit place at our beautiful garden! Quiet time is after 10pm. Please not make loud noises or loud music. The villa can occupy 16 people so it's perfect for group traveler and several family with children. We have big bath tub so please relax!

The house is located inside a highland resort in the Yatsugatake area at an altitude of 1400 meters.Staying between the mountains and beautiful nature will revitalize you mentally and physically. A perfect place to relax. Access: 2 1/2 hours by train from Shinjuku by JR(chuo main line). (e.g. Shinjuku 13:00 → Kobuchizawa 15:00 (15:06) → Kiyosato 15:30.
