The layout is unique—with the living room and bathroom on the ground floor, and the bedroom tucked away in a mezzanine level. It truly feels like a little private house of your own. I absolutely loved the design and the sense of privacy it offered. It also comes with a washing machine for laundry, a steady supply of hot water, and well-prepared amenities, including fluffy towels and refreshments. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and I couldn’t be more content with the stay.

The place of 林千千 and Ching Ming was fantastic and super comfortable. We stayed for 9 days and liked it all a lot. It is in a small hamlet off Yuchi, with just a couple houses and a little local shop with friendly locals. The place is very private and quiet, right below a small hill with slopes dotted by tea garden—a great place for an hour walk through the old village houses, small shrines, and tea bushes. There are plenty of busses stopping 2 minutes away in the direction of both Taichung and Sun Moon Lake and further Shiuli. It is also a great place for a hikes in the area, to Jinglonshan, Shuishedashan, or 良久林場石碑. There are several tea factories nearby, with 日月潭東峰紅茶莊園 being the least tourist one we found. The home itself is very well organized, very clean, comfortable and bigger than it seems from the photos. The bathroom has great water pressure, there is a dehumidifier, and kitchen is well equipped, including a tea set. A great place to relax for a few days.

I recently had an absolutely AMAZING stay at Pono Pono, and I can’t recommend it enough! This cozy mountain retreat has a rustic charm that made it feel like a true escape. 🏡💕 From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the warm hospitality. The owner allowed us to check in early, which made everything so smooth! 😊✨ We even had a bonfire prepared for us, adding a special touch to our evening. 🔥 We spent most of our time outside, enjoying drinks under the stars. 🍹🌌 The peaceful ambiance and breathtaking views made it a perfect getaway! 🌅 The outdoor spaces were incredible, and cooking our own meals added to the fun! 🍽️ Pono Pono is definitely worth the trip, and I can't wait to return! If you're looking for a happy and memorable getaway with friends, this is the place to be! 👯‍♂️✨

Very nice and cozy bungalow with beautiful garden. Gives me the vibe of Australia Airbnb. 10/10 cleanliness. Just the shower area and toilet bowl area are not separated, makes the floor wet but with slippers it’s okay. Very satisfied staying experience.
