Cabin holiday rentals in Nelson Bay

My family and I have stayed at many hotels and accommodations, but Susanne and Dave’s Misty Ridge was truly the best of the best! We spent an unforgettable weekend there (2 nights and 3 days) and my entire family was beyond happy. The stunning house sits atop a mountain, surrounded by breathtaking views and friendly wildlife—walabies, kangaroos, cockatoos, monitor lizards, and possums. Trust me, the place looks even better than in the photos! Both the interior and exterior were spotless and beautifully decorated, creating such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The spa, located right next to the house, was an absolute highlight! I’ve already recommended this gem to many friends and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. I can’t wait to bring my family back again. Hopefully very soon! I feel so lucky to have found this place and can’t thank Susanne and Dave enough for their hospitality. Thank you! ❤️

A peaceful house on a ridge, surrounded by gum trees and kangaroos. We had everything we needed at the property and enjoyed the moderately challenging hike across the ridge below. Gorgeous views across the valleys around from the deck, with ever-changing clouds and weather. We were joined by fairly large numbers of kangaroos early morning and in the evening - often hopping right up onto the deck beside us! The steep drive up from Vacy is well worth it for the peace and quiet and the scenery.

Beautiful location and the most perfect little cottage to stay in. The cottage had everything we needed for a couple of nights and the scenery was gorgeous. While I didn't partake in the jacuzzi or sauna, it gave us something to try out when we come back (because we will definitely be returning). Loved the little touches of the robes, the wine and the chocolate and the bathroom was ENORMOUS. Highly recommend this piece of paradise to anyone.

I would highly recommend kylies artists cottage! absolutely beautiful, her sculptures and artworks were even more beautiful and incredible than I could've imagined. Great location, walking distance to town. Very comfy bed, great sleep! Definitely will be returning to this beautiful accommodation!

Cathy and Manny were a delightful hosts, clear communication and lots of helpful instructions for a smooth trip! The property was beautiful and the view is stunning! Beautiful place to visit. Everything from nature to accomodation is just amazing

6 of us booked David's airbnb for a much needed Boys weekend and can I just say we were not disappointed one bit. The boys had a great time chilling thanks to the game room where we spent hours. Eventhough it was cold weather we managed to have a quick dip in the pool. The property is massive, we had such a good time and we knew we didnt have much time to explore it. However, we asked David if its possible to get a late checkout and he allowed us to stay till 4pm. This was the first for any of us where everyone was relaxed after a long night of doing "Boys things". We will definitely be coming back in summer time to use the pool a bit more.

Michael is an excellent host and brilliant with regards to communication. He is very responsive and helpful. When we arrived, the place was very clean and there were a few extra nice touches we did not expect. There is a decent fridge, and cooking cooking range, plenty of utensils, glasses and crockery. All you need is to bring the milk and other groceries. The loungeroom has a very good air-conditioner installed which works well. In the kitchen there are instructions for guests including emergency contacts. The cabin has excellent amenities, including a BBQ, dartboard out the back and a few games for guests to play. The beds were comfortable and we were very happy with our stay. The location was great for us as we were attending my daughter's wedding at Mystwood which was about 8 minutes away. There is a Hotel just a short walk away. Overall, for us the stay was comfortable and inviting Thank you Michael for being such a great host. We were very happy and highly recommend it.

Carol's site is very peaceful in the middle of nature. The DayDreamer - our accomodation - was the perfect set up for 2 families with many kids and 2 dogs! A lot of space outside to play as the campsites were not occupied during our stay ;) Very relaxing! Also plenty to do short drives away from 10 to 30 min (beach, horse ridding, treetops, even go karting near Newcastle!!) ; plenty to keep everyone busy. If your thing is eating / coffeeing out, there may be other better suited options but it was perfect for us! Thanks.

What an awesome space. We spent Christmas at The Wilds and it was just superb! Everything we needed was there. The place is gorgeous and so many amazing little details, just gorgeous! Highly recommend! The local Trading Post had a great pub/cafe, a shop for all your needs and a great gift shop. There’s also a free local pool for the locals (ask at the pub, if they like you they might give you the code to get in). Overall a fantastic experience!

Was just like the photos (other than the bonus of some furniture updates). Postcard views and a lovely walking path which goes around the whole lake. Minutes to drive to local shops, restaurants and beaches. Simple and really lovely for a relaxing holiday.

Our second time staying with this host. We fondly renamed it "goats cabin" as we enjoy watching the goats in the paddock.

Tha cabin was very clean and we had convenient and clear instructions to get in. It is not a house but a high standard cabin in a holiday park. The park was quiet and the swimming pool great. Access to the beach from the holiday park, 2 mn walk. Easy and beautiful beachfront. We had a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

We stayed at Danielle’s for 14 nights using it as a base to visit family and the Central Coast. The location is beautifully quiet, off the road and very private. The cottage, a converted stable block, is rustic and authentic, well presented and beautifully clean. The beautifully appointed bathroom with a great shower, is situated in a separate building only a very short distance from the front door and a late night trip to the loo provides a wonderful view of the night sky. Danielle was a delightful host who was quick to respond to any questions and on hand to help. I would thoroughly recommend Danielle’s cottage to anyone wishing for a relaxing break away from it all.

Our stay at Arinya over Christmas was absolutely delightful, the view and wallabies were the top attraction for us, the house is great, well equipped and clean, the resort’s pool, tennis court and pool table are well maintained and considering it was Christmas period we’d expect it crowded but for our surprise it was completely empty and quiet, we enjoyed every single moment. Would definitely go back again! Arinya is such a paradise to relax and unwind and Archana is a wonderful host, always prompt to help, special thanks to her!
