The dual-aspect lounge has far-reaching views to the South Downs, Eastbourne and Beachy Head. The Sovereign Light Cafe featured in local pop group Keane's music video is right opposite the flat. “This place is in a great spot right by the sea, with a balcony where you can sit and watch the world go by. Only a short walk away from the main shops and, with two train stations (Collington and Bexhill) only a few minutes away, so very easy to get to as well. A spacious place with a nice, airy feeling to it. Would definitely revisit.”

“My three friends and I stayed for a night at Hilary’s place. It’s a really lovely, clean and stylish space with nice touches. The outside decking is a real bonus and we ate breakfast outside, even though it was a relatively mild March day! We stayed in for the night and cooked a proper meal, there was a good amount of utensils/pots/pans etc. It was really easy to communicate with Hilary and she responded quickly. I’d love to return in the summer to make the most of the outside space!!”

“I stayed for three days at the lodge with my boyfriend, as we both had been longing for an escape from the city. This beautiful rustic place is the perfect way to slow down and feel as though you’re in another world. Check-in was breezy and right from the start it’s obvious that Sally and Gavin really enjoy hosting their guests. We felt very welcome and loved the top quality of housewares and bedding/towels etc. Everything is carefully considered. They also provided an abundance of local tips, and the property is stunning. It rained a lot during our stay but the lodge is so cozy (with books and games, streaming tv etc) that it didn’t matter much. Highly highly recommend.”
