Hotel holiday rentals in Ninth Ward

Our favorite part was the bathroom, it was so luxurious! I’m not sure if it was just the time of year, but it was the end of January and there were gorgeous lights in the trees outside of our bay window and it really set the experience over the top. I’m a photographer and I booked this location for a session but took advantage of the opportunity to have a little getaway with my mom & baby once my client left. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch, taking a long soak in the claw foot tub, and I walked only 1 minute away to mama d’s pizza for take out. When we turned the tv on, we loved how it was already on a fireplace channel. Another small touch we appreciated were the Andy’s chocolate mints on the night stands. The host was very great at communicating and the neighborhood was wonderful! It’s so close to so many great locations that you can easily walk to. The book of recommendations was great! The next morning we drove out to Fontainebleau state park on the way home.

We were in town for a wedding and this was a great place to stay. The host was very accommodating and kind to help us with our needs. It was all as described, and would be great for a return trip for a girls’ getaway!

The Abita Springs Hotel is a beautiful place to stay. The area is peaceful and quiet, the bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless. The room looked exactly like the pictures. I would definitely recommend and absolutely stay again.

We were in town for the New Orleans Poetry Festival—(Check it out! Happens every year!) which just so happened to line up with French Quarter Fest. PERFECT spot for walking to French Quarter / the awesomeness of the neighborhood in general—legit a 6-7 minute walk to the local food co-op / arts zone / yoga / healthiness that is the New Orleans Healing Center. (I’d highly recommend checking it out!) Very clean :) Very quiet as well! Despite being in such close proximity to the busy-ness outside! I was impressed. Beautiful garden—with amazing spots to swing and chat and hang. Hosts were very accommodating/kind in terms of our schedule! Absolutely plan on staying again! Notes: Parking def a bit tricky. Might’ve been cuz we were coming in during Festival weekend? If you’re coming in at evening—be prepared to hunt for a spot. Also, the hot tub was not working the entire weekend 😞 We’re poets. We get that stuff breaks hah! Merci beaucoup—much gratitude to the hosts for sharing space ?

Beautiful area and great hotel! We walked and biked during our stay, and everything was extremely easy to access. We appreciated the first-come, first-serve bikes the hotel provided, as we had to leave one of our bikes at home for the trip! Thanks for the wonderful stay ☺️

Great place

The area had a serene charm, with everything within walking distance. I loved the convenience of the electric kettle for making tea or coffee. The soft daybed became my cozy retreat after a day of exploring. I would definitely love to return.

This place was absolutely amazing. Hosts were great, and I had an amazing time Super Bowl week. Highly recommend!

I used to skip over the hotel listings on Airbnb, preferring to stay in people's houses or apartments, but my stay at the Alder has made me reconsider. The Alder was very accommodating and comfortable, was priced competitively, I liked that each room had a modest balcony, and all of the staff (but especially Amy, Michelle, and Sydni) were friendly, efficient, and helpful. I had appointments at Tulane and downtown and the location made it straightforward to get to both. A supermarket and a number of restaurants and bars are a short walk away.

We loved the space and the location! Lots of room and comfort and we especially liked the art work. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but it looked clean and well maintained. Mark, behind the desk was friendly and helpful. Only complaint is that the AC was not working so we were quite hot and we didn't address it only Easter Sunday so it was impossible to get fixed. If we had said something the first day I bet they would have been able to address it. I would stay here again!

Great clean space! Close to everything!! The host are so responsive, helpful, friendly. For example there was road construction and made it a little difficult to find I expressed that on the app and they called and got us there and helped us/stayed on phone until we were in our room! Most definitely will stay here again in December! Thank you!

We had a fantastic time staying at this cozy home - it really feel like a home- a really nice place to stay when you’re in New Orleans. Short way to the river, the music and with good advice from a receptionist who knew where to go. All what we needed was there. Thank you, Joan & Brian

Location was perfect!!! If you want somewhere walkable to Bourbon st and the French Quarter this is the place to be. Although it’s close, it’s quiet. We didn’t hear loud music or street noise from inside our room at night. The nearest parking garage for premium parking is close although the only downside is it cost between $45-50 per 24 hrs of parking. But this is to be expected in the city. Room was as described. Very nice and quaint with some definite New Orleans charm. The only thing negative I can say about our room was that the AC did not seem to cool well. No matter what we set it at it would not get below 76 which is too hot for my liking. But thankfully there was a fan in the bedroom so we just dealt with it and never bothered to report it since we only stayed two nights. I would definitely consider this place again if I ever go back to New Orleans and wanted to be in the heart of the French Quarter.

My party and myself really enjoyed ourselves. I love how the hotel is close to Bourbon street but not in the mix of the traffic. We really enjoyed our time in NOLA and we would stay here again.

We loved staying here! It far exceeded our expectations. Perfect location, in the center of it all, and it was so cute! We loved the traditional European vibe, the open courtyard and the ability to jump in the pool and hot tub after a day of exploring. Would definitely stay here again.

This place was great! A beautiful apartment on a fantastic property. The pool and courtyard are so lovely and it was a reasonable walk to great restaurants and the french quarter. Mike was so responsive to every question and the recommendations for local restaurants and tours were fantastic! I will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay. Great location. Beautiful place. Hated the cardboard on our windows and the room smelled like mildew, guessing that might just be due to location but my allergies went awfully crazy. Hosts was wonderful helpful and friendly.

Nice affordable place to stay in New Orleans, close to everything!

Beautiful place to stay, and location was everything!! Perfect for a solo or couple getaway. The host recommended a nearby lot for us to park in that was an easy walk just down the street, you can reserve a spot online or pay with a QR code when you get there. I was unsure how parking would be since the area doesn't have a lot of free spots and I didn't want to worry about moving the car. We paid about $10 per 24 hours and it was well worth peace of mind to have the car be parked in a secure spot during our stay since we spent most of the weekend on foot. Booking this place was definitely the move- peaceful, private and accessible to everything we wanted to do. Would love to come back.

Perfect stay to sleep while traveling!

This was a fantastic, clean place to stay in NOLA. Within walking distance to everything in the French Quarter.

We definitely would stay at the Iris Motel again! The wading pool was a nice addition, because we didn't want to swim. However, we were able to lay out and catch some rays and cool off in the water. We had an awesome experience. Please be mindful that it is located next to a club. So the music was very loud since we were there on the weekend. All in all the staff was friendly and responsive to any questions that we had. I would recommend this as a place to stay when visiting the Crescent City.
