Pet-friendly holiday rentals in North Dorset District

This is a lovely home from home and a perfect base for visiting Cardiff city which is a 25 min walk away or a 5/10 minute uber - Kath was very helpful and friendly and responsive - this is very obviously a home, which is lovely, and has everything needed for a stay - definitely recommend and we plan on returning.

This is a lovely little house, well looked after and in a great location. Well worth visiting.

We stayed here for a hen party and my expectations were well passed! The place felt so homely and welcoming and was beautifully decorated. The hot tub was a big highlight and felt so clean! The hosts were easy to contact and made it a very easy booking and stay. Thank you so much, we had a fab time and the bride is so happy!!!

It was a very nice stay to explore New Forest and Moors Valley with our children and dog. Thank you!

Fantastic accomoodatio! There is a welcome pack to greet you , even 4 legged friends. Debbie & Ian are so welcoming and also gave us good tips on places to visit. We have enjoyed our stay so much and were sad to leave but we will definately be coming back. Michele & Mark, Surrey.

We had the best time at this lovely house, the area is really quiet with lovley woods out the back. Everything was as described. Garden is a lovely suntrap, nicely enclosed for dogs and the hot tub is a lovely perk. Considering we had 2 cars, parking in the designated space and parking right out the front wasn't an issue at all. We will definitely be back again.

Lovely homely place, a lot cosier than it looked in photos. We loved it and all the extras,cream tea, coffee,teas, cereal, bread, bacon and eggs . Wow Bathroom also had a lot of extras too. Few minutes from town and beach and shops and the parking is so useful. Thank you Tess x

Me and my partner have just finished our stay with alpine grove and would highly recommend visiting. We stayed in the woodpecker lodge and from the log burner to the hot tub everything about this lodge was perfect, Kieth and Serena service is amazing and we can’t wait to visit again soon. We loved our stay. The property was a wonderful home from home in a beautiful setting. It was perfect for all of our family as we celebrated a special birthday. Mant thanks Katie for all of your prompt and helpful communications.

Very homely and very well stocked caravan. Nice and quiet when we stayed. Parking space at the side big enough for 2 cars. Samantha was very helpful and very responsive to messages. Activity passes included making this a very reasonably priced place to stay.

We’ve just returned from an amazing bank holiday weekend at Louise’s property, celebrating a joint 40th birthday with friends, and it couldn’t have been better. The weather was fantastic, so we spent most of our time enjoying the sunny garden and the pool, which was a huge hit with both kids and big kids! The pool was much larger than we expected and it was always the perfect temperature. We made great use of the BBQ and fire pit area, which was especially lovely at sunset. The house itself is beautiful. All the bedrooms are a great size and with stunning views, and the kitchen that had everything we needed and more. One afternoon, we walked across a couple of fields to The Blacksmith Arms pub, about 15 minutes away, and had a lush lunch. During the days, we watched birds in the garden, and at dusk, we were treated to the sight of bats swooping overhead. The kids also had a great time visiting the chickens. Thank you so much, Louise. We had a great time :-)

We chose Jo's place as it was close to Charmouth (11 mins) and Lyme Regis (14 mins by car). Our 6 year old son wanted to go fossil hunting. We arrived at Jo's cottage and she was there to greet us. She is very friendly and welcoming as well as her lovely dog Ruby. Jo also provided us with a travel cot and a changing mat for our 3 month old baby boy too, which was helpful. Jo provided us with a wheel barrow to carry our belongings to the Duck House as it was a little walk round the cottage. It's cosy and had all we needed. Our son liked the children's room he slept in and enjoyed the toys/games provided. My partner and my son did go in the swimming pool, however it was cold for our baby to go into. Jo did provide some bread, home made marmalade (that was lovely), butter, jam and milk. There was no hot water when we woke but when we contacted Jo she was straight on it and sorted it before we went out for the day. We enjoyed our stay - Thank you Jo.

We spent a fabulous Easter weekend at Driftwood Cottage. Catharine was an excellent host and was extremely easy to deal with. The house is spacious, modern, and very well equipped. The use of the kayaks was a bonus we hadn’t really considered beforehand but turned out to be a real highlight. The location is amazing. Right next to the ferry terminal but you wouldn’t know it when you’re at the house. The views up the creek at stunning. Highly recommended.

Salterns Lodge was everything me and my partner wanted and more! Although apart of Gareth and Marie's property they have done an excellent job at separating the lodge with its own entrance that makes it very private. It's an absolutely beautiful lodge with all the amenities you'd need with a lovely garden and hot tub which is a big bonus! The location is perfect, close to everything we needed and a good central spot to travel from. Gareth and Marie were very accommodating and flexible with check in and out times and provided us with information and recommendations around the area which was appreciated. We would happily stay here again in a future visit to the New Forest.

We loved our stay at Yvonne's, the apartment was cosy and felt very authentic to the farm surroundings, the patio was well sealed for our dog, we really appreciated the bread and fresh eggs from the chickens, and the view is stunning. Bonus was the very friendly turkey who came to say hello! Would definitely recommend.

If you want a peaceful location that’s spotlessly clean then this is the place. Caroline was a fab host who was there if needed. Perfect location for both the Forest and the coast. We will definitely return.

Superb cottage with very good facilities set in a great location to explore and enjoy Dorset and the Jurassic coast. We would return again.

Utterly fantastic weekend for our family get away and celebrations - Fiona and Spencer couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. Just a brilliant weekend which we’ll never forget. Best spot imaginable !

Wonderful stay in the most idealic and peaceful setting and a great location to explore the New Forest area. Hosts Tony & Ulli were warm, welcoming and really helpful. I would definitely recommend :)

What a wonderful caravan! I was dubious with it being pet-friendly as our previous experience was awful but there was no evidence of pet hair at all, which is quite incredible! Everything was super clean and a perfect home from home. The kitchen included every item you would need. The communication was very efficient and we were advised of the clear instructions before, during and before the end of our stay. The location is very convenient being a few steps away from the clubhouse. A few people mentioned noise with it being so close but we did not notice this at all. The clubhouse itself is perfect and the children were in their element! The swimming pool is great. The area is beautiful. So many places to visit, including beaches. We were spoilt for choice. We will definitely return to stay here and would recommend it to friends and family :-)

This is our second stay at James property. It is so quiet and peaceful with a lovely large enclosed garden where are dogs are free to roam. The bed is super comfortable and property is very well equipped. It is a great base from which to explore the island. James lives in the adjoining property and met us on arrival and is easily contactable should the need arise. A lovely place to stay and one we will continue to use when we visit our friends who live on the island.
