Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Beautiful village residence but only 4 miles from stunning historic York with easy public transport access. Bring your pet too, they have indoor and outdoor space and wonderful country walks in the local area. Enjoy our sunroom, a cosy space to eat in Summer or Autumn. Our local pub is on the doorstep serving excellent home cooked meals or a take away Sunday lunch. With 2 parking spaces and secure lock up lock up for mountain bikes.

Grooms Cottage is on a private estate right next to the ruins of Sheriff Hutton Castle. The property is in a peaceful setting but only two minutes walk away from the village pub and post office/general store. Our cottage was completely renovated in 2021 and is in a great location for walkers, cyclists, and explorers. Offering peace and tranquility with local walks on your doorstep. Located a short drive to the seaside town of Redcar and Market town of Guisborough, within 1/2 hours drive to the North York Moors National Park and Whitby and within 1 hours drive to the Yorkshire Dales. An abundance of wild birds are to be found in the gardens of our cottage.

Stunning rural shepherds hut
Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 5 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.
