Welcome to the Aletis house, a place for wanderers. Here you'll find gorgeous original details matched with modern comforts, eclectic taste, and a clean, inviting vibe. Two of the bedrooms have king beds, the third has a queen bed, and there's a day bed (with a good mattress!) in the sun room. All upstairs rooms are off the reading lounge featured in the photos. The living room/meditation room has a working fireplace, essential for warming the soul during the colder months. Find your favorite spot to create, read, and connect. Feel free to keep things in the fridge or cook yourself a meal. Sonos speakers are on both floors - just download their app and listen to music wirelessly. The only room off limits is my office on the first floor, in which I see clients on week days. My partner Danny and I live in the carriage house in the backyard. Dear returning guests: Yes, we've taken the adorable cats with us! (New guests, we used to live in the main house). We're typically around on weekends unless traveling and available for any of your questions/needs. I work out of the office off the front porch on week days. The house is on desirable Union Street in Downtown Hudson. Everything Warren Street has to offer is just around the corner. Restaurants and shops are all around the corner from the house. Very walkable. Amtrak train station is about 5-6 blocks from the house. Walkable depending on weather and luggage. There's Lyft and Uber in town. Free street parking is available on side opposite of house; restrictions apply Thursday evenings depending on the season, check signs. Free street parking available on other side streets, metered parking on others. Of course, check appropriate signs where apply. There's an Enterprise Car Rental on Fairview Ave which I believe do pickups and drop offs. Bike Rental available at Steiner's Sports on Warren St. Those of you for whom stairs are difficult, please note that bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. ** My current settings don't allow for bookings 6 months in advance; however, if you are planning a trip and would like to book then, please send me a message.

This is a fully equipped country farmhouse, with Watson Kennedy goods throughout the home. Lots of hiking in the valley and nearby conservancy areas, biking on country roads, cross-country, downhill or snowshoe during the snowy months, or take in all the antique shops and history year-round. This peaceful property is minutes from the Hawthorne Valley Farm store, 20 minutes to the world-class food and vintage mecca of Hudson, and 30 minutes from the culture and history of Tanglewood, Jacobs PIllow and the Berkshires. For recreation there is hiking in the valley and nearby conservancy areas, biking on country roads, or cross-country, downhill or snowshoeing during the snowy months. Hawthorne is a 2-hour drive from NYC or a 2-hour Amtrak ride from Penn Station to Hudson, and then a 20 minute drive by car or taxi. The house is conveniently close to the Taconic Parkway, while set in a peaceful and quiet valley.

Walk to Ridgevale Beach

We have done extensive renovation and remodeling to the home with attention to detail. We believe we have created a warm and inviting atomosphere. The home is decorated in a coastal style with carefully chosen accents from the edison bulbs in the dining area to the custom barn/boathouse style door and repurposed hand hewn 18th century beam that anchors the staircase. The Kitchen is equipped with the same attention to detail for those who enjoy preparing their own meals. Summerfell is an entire home rental. Both hosts live nearby, Patty and Bill will be accessible via cell, text and email. The property is in a peaceful neighborhood with a good mix of seasonal homes and full time residences. The area has a number of quiet roads perfect for evening strolls. Of course, the beach is a short 5 minute walk away. The kitchen is equipped for the guest who enjoys cooking. From small appliances (Crockpot, waffle iron, blender, hand mixer etc) to small gadgets (citrus press, microplane, garlic press, potato ricer etc) A three burner weber gas grill is on the deck.
