Holiday rentals with lake access in Northwest Territories

Words cannot describe how wonderful this experience was. This family is a gem, and they did everything they could and more to make us feel at home. Because of them we truly experienced Yellowknife -- and this space, with its charming comforts, cleanliness, WARMTH, hospitality and friendship will forever live in our minds as one of the best places we've ever stayed, period!!! A beautiful home in a lovely neighbourhood, so close to town, and with wonderful, wonderful hosts. One truly cannot ask for more.

This a wonderful bungalow just down from the Carcross Cutoff. It's not far from the airport and downtown but a nice jumping off point for exploring Wolf's Creek, Miles Canyon, Mount Sima, Winterlong... Great kitchen that Jennifer has well-stocked. Beautiful little lake out the back that you can walk down to and paddle upon with the supplied kayak. There's no TV which some might not like but liberate yourself and enjoy the awesome collection of books and games Jennifer has supplied. And there's a telescope for viewing the night sky. In the Yukon that is a better show than any dribble you might come upon on the box. And Jennifer, like most Canadians I know and have met, is super friendly and accommodating.

Our family has stayed in several vacation homes and the JM Lakehouse was by far our favourite. The home is exactly as described- spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we could need for a comfortable stay. This home is about 30 minutes outside of Whitehorse, but the drive is worth the peaceful setting and quiet area that this home offers. Our family especially loved the games room in the basement, the cozy living room with stunning views of the mountains and the spacious, comfortable bedrooms. Andrea was incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions we had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

It’s an amazing place with friendly hosts and cute puppies. Highly recommend it if you want to find a unique experience in the Arctic!

Delilah was an amazing hosts, providing us a free upgrade to the grey room when she noticed that we carried along too many baggage’s and she even cooked noodles for us for dinner as it was late and there were a lack of food options around. She also helped us call for a taxi as we did not have a local number. The kids under her day care were also really fun to play with and we had an absolute blast staying at delilah’s.

Isis and Shea were such amazing hosts! Super friendly and were a great resource for things to do around Yellowknife . The unit was comfortable and had everything you needed with the most spectacular view of the lake . Can’t wait to come back!

Our stay with Ruth was fantastic! She was incredibly friendly and very helpful. The place is even nicer than the photos! It has a beautiful view of the lake all while nestled in the woods with a private patio. Also, don’t miss the hot tub! It’s a wonderful place to relax. 10 out of 10, we would happily stay here again! Great location in the core of downtown Whitehorse. Close to everything you need. Was very quiet, even being located on a main street. Lots of room in the unit and has a huge patio. Loved that it’s pet friendly!
