Welcome to our cottage in Mönkebude – Mönke's Kate und Meer – on the Szczecin Lagoon of the Baltic Sea Our listed cottage by the sea is at your disposal for your relaxation. The cottage was built around 1850 as an extension for the former large barn house of a fishing family from Mönkebude and was used for living until around 1982. Today, our guests relax between the old half-timbered walls made of bricks, clay-plastered walls and under the beautiful thatched roof on about 80 square meters of living space.

We offer a relaxing hot tub in a tub (known as a 'bania'), a wood-fired sauna and a graduation tower. SERVICES ARE CHARGED EXTRA. There are also several bikes available. The property is located within a Natura 2000 area, and an 8 km cycle path leads to the sandy beach on the Szczecin Lagoon.

Our charming three-sided farm is located on the edge of the small village of Rieth, just a few steps away from the Rieth natural harbor and the idyllic swimming area. The former colonial house is one of the oldest buildings in Rieth and has seen many residents come and go in its more than 250-year history.
