“My husband and I stayed almost 2 months at Irma's. We enjoyed one of the two good-sized, airy, upstairs rooms that are right off a large covered terrace and with an incredible view of the city and distant mountains. Irma is friendly, knowledgable, and, as able, accommodates requests. She serves a light breakfast every morning (included in your AirBnB price) that includes a plate full of fresh fruit. Irma is spot-on when she tells you that there is hill-climbing to get not only to the street address, but then to her actual abode! Be in shape! We would visit Irma again.”
Located in one of the most central streets of Oaxaca, La Casa de Don Mario is close to everything. Oaxaca is a city to walk and having an accommodation in the center is a great advantage. Doing it in an old house that is part of the history of the city is a privilege. Decorated with furniture made with part of the old oil factory, rebuilt with the idea of preservation in a vintage environment, the house has many elements to enjoy Oaxaca and its heart of flavor and color.
“This is an outstanding example of the best air bnb possible Mario was beyond helpful, actually taking time from his work day to get us to the proper transportation , and helping us navigate Oaxaca in every way possible . The space looks exactly like the picture . It has an amazing tile floor, spacious with very high ceilings, a complete kitchen that does not show in the pictures upstairs, and a very comfortable king size bed. the location is excellent, five minute walk to the Zocalo, three minutes to the Mercado of the 20 of Noviembre ,an artisan market right around the corner, and several tipico restaurants nearby. I can not say enough positive things about this space and Mario, our host Judith a Halevy Santa Fe, New Mexico”

“I absolutely loved this place! If you’re looking for something in a safe area, with lots of greenery, beautiful art, hipster vibes, interaction with other travelers, and in the city center then Casa Giron is the perfect spot! A great breakfast is served up every morning and they always change it up. This is the perfect time to get to know the other travelers staying in the home. Everyone is so friendly! Magdalena is so awesome and so is all her staff. I stayed 3 nights and my room was cleaned everyday. There are also dance and cooking classes you can participate in during the week as well. It’s in a beautiful part of the city surrounded by lots of cute cafes. I was a solo woman traveler and never felt unsafe during the day or at night walking home. My room was so comfortable and peaceful with lots of warm water. I can’t rave about this place enough. Highly recommend!”
