Although it is not an actual Edo-period building, it is an Edo-style space that makes use of the old building, and you can enjoy a Japanese atmosphere. Our accommodation is different from a typical hotel, as it is a Japanese-style house where you can experience living in a traditional Japanese home. The facilities are not as perfect as those of the latest hotels, but you can enjoy a space with a Japanese feel. Inside, there is a tatami-mat Japanese-style room, an oiran room, There are decorations such as fusuma-e (traditional Japanese sliding door paintings) and Japanese umbrellas, Photography is also possible. "VERY COZY" Cottage FU-SHA in Nikko

We opened FU-SHA in September, 2007. We wanted to show people from all over the World the beauty, both natural and man made that Nikko offers. We have an operating license. This private Japanese style cottage has a small sitting room, a small kitchen, a large modern bathroom and can sleep up to 5 people. The rooms are Japanese style rooms with tatami mats and divided by fusuma(sliding doors). Japanese futons are laid on the tatami mats and they are very comfortable to sleep on. There are a microwave oven, a toaster, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, an electric pot and tableware in the kitchen. The bathroom has a big bathtub and a shower. In addition, there is an amazing Japanese high-tech toilet. The cottage has a high speed internet( wireless). My ancestors came to Nikko approximately 130 years ago and we have been living here ever since. Therefor we have all the information on Nikko you would like to know and we are happy to share that with you. Close to Tobu Shim-Imaichi Station, you might even hear the steam whistle of the Taiki if you're lucky in the evening. 8-tatami Japanese-style room (bamboo room), 6-tatami Japanese-style room (temple style), 8-tatami living room (retro style) IH kitchen, microwave, toaster, rice cooker, fridge, washing machine, gas dryer, etc. are fully equipped, so you can use this place as a base for sightseeing in Nikko, Kinugawa, Ashio, and Kuriyama. There is also a parking lot, making it ideal for touring with fellow bikers. Breakfast is a free loaf of freshly baked bread (home bakery).
