Chalet holiday rentals in Ohio River

We stayed here for one weekend and had a great stay. The house was clean, cozy, and in a great location for skiing at Beech Mountain!

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was very peaceful and the house was very clean. The surroundings were beautiful.

The house was beautiful and clean. Brooke was quick to respond with any questions or issues we had. She even ordered an electric griddle for us so we didn't have to bring one. One of the bedrooms listed had two twins instead of a king and the beds weren't the best. Additonally, there was only 1 shower (second bathroom had a tub) however we made do and still had a wonderful time :)

Came for a short weekend trip and it was absolutely as described! The place felt very clean and well taken care of. Host was very helpful and communicative and was willing to reasonably accommodate our worries of traveling during the winter storm that passed through the day of our check-in, luckily we ended up making it! I would absolutely visit this property again.

Absolutely amazing great host, beautiful view and relaxing environment

The perfect peaceful getaway! It was great to drive the 30 min to Nashville and then come back to the quiet house. Beautiful views from the deck, the most comfortable bed and cool music memorabilia all around! We can’t wait to come back!

This is our second year staying at Steve’s place at Beech Mountain, and it was just as great as the first time! Seeing the sunset off the balcony was gorgeous and the kitchen was fully stocked for us to be able to cook meals after a long day of skiing. We also appreciated the little touches like flashlights and Hot Hands for late night walks.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The view is absolutely stunning and the house is perfect for relaxing, cooking, and gaming. The master bedroom with the balcony was especially great! Everything was very clean and Rick was so helpful and responsive whenever we needed anything. I definitely recommend checking out Otter Falls while you’re here! We had a great stay and would love to come back :)

The game room & movie theatre were a hit with the whole family and the fireside smores each night made the trip even more memorable.

We had an amazing time I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it more , it as just the size we needed to house our son’s wedding party (5 groomsmen plus my family,it was nice having everyone together it was a wonderful stay

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The view from the living room and back porch were beautiful with a clear view of the surrounding mountains. When we arrived we were pleased to see several necessities had been provided, such as firewood, trash bags, and paper towels, shampoo and other toiletries. The only negative I can think of was that the down stairs lounge area can only be accessed from walking down a flight of stairs outside. That was an oversight on my part though. We would absolutely consider staying here again next time we're in the area.

We were in town for our son’s wedding in Newport and needed a home base for family. The place was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Because of the busyness of the weekend we didn’t get to spend too much time relaxing but it was easy to see what a peaceful, relaxing getaway it could be. Everyone made time to check out the treehouse which was fun. We will absolutely rent again next time we come to town to visit the newlyweds.

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Richard and Sara! From start to finish, they went above and beyond to ensure our employees were comfortable and well taken care of. Their communication was outstanding—always prompt, clear, and incredibly accommodating. Any questions or needs we had were met with genuine care and attention, making our stay seamless. It's rare to find hosts who truly go the extra mile, but Richard and Sara did just that. We are so grateful for their hospitality and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a welcoming and well-managed stay. Thank you both for everything!

We had a wonderful stay! Jill was an amazing host, and communication with her was very easy. The house was spotless and beautifully designed. The location is private and peaceful, with stunning views. My kids spent hours fishing off the dock and caught plenty of fish (which they released back). One thing to note: the stairs was a bit challenging for my three years old, so keep that in mind if you’re coming with young kids or elderly guests. Despite that it was perfect! We would love to come back! 😊

Wonderful place for relaxation and time with family. The hot tub and sauna made it feel like a spa. The lake was beautiful and peaceful. Very comfortable home with areas to relax and watch the view. Nicely decorated. Beautiful view of the sunset from the dock. Lots of things to do in the basement to keep everyone entertained. Spacious kitchen for cooking meals.

Second time I’ve stayed here with my bass fishing group and we love it.

This cabin was very spacious. Perfect for groups, we had our family of 5 there and only used two of the 5 bedrooms. The area is beautiful and there was plenty to do outside including the hot tub, swings, grill, and walking trail. I would definitely recommend this chalet.

We decided to stay at the lake house for our daughters Spring Break. Unfortunately it was bad timing due to all the ongoing storms throughout the week. Luckily this house has plenty of games and lots to do Inside. We enjoyed our time and look forward to returning again very soon.

Teri’s house was exactly as described. It was clean, comfortable and private. The house had everything we needed for a memorable family Thanksgiving. Teri was extremely responsive and helpful and was, all in all, a terrific host.
