If you go south you will come to a viewpoint with midnight sun about 800 meters from the cabin, if you go north you will find the pier that you can walk out on. Enjoy the beautiful nature Vesterålen has to offer with many hiking opportunities in the area, and dancing northern lights in autumn/winter. Also observed a flock of Pigs in the sea 🐬

Low light pollution in the area provides great opportunities for seeing Northern Lights! Barbecue hut and hot tub are free to use. Ideal for families with children, couples and groups of friends.

Welcome to a unique holiday home in the stunning archipelago of Vesterålen. Here you can enjoy your holiday with outdoor activities such as fishing, paddling and hiking in lovely nature. Barkestad has a good harbor with a living fishing village, and the fishing has been an important business road in the area for a long time. Fishing from both land and boat is possible. You can get to the island via fast boat from Myre or Skjellfjorden - or your own/rented boat if you have this available.

In this modern residence, you can seek peace and relax in a beautiful landscape. It is located rurally at the end of Eidsfjorden in Vesterålen, about 15 km from the center of Sortland. Suitable as a starting point for trips to Øksnes, Andøya, Hadsel and Lofoten. There are also great hiking/summit ski areas right outside the house. The area is rich in sea eagles and there is a high probability that you will be able to spot one. You can also rent a boat for fishing in the fjord.
